"Oh! So, if he asks you out, you will agree? You like him," Her mother had concluded with a satisfied smile. 

"I didn't say I like him," Kathleen denied, but Isioma was already laughing at her sister. 

"You didn't have to. Why did you lie to his sister that you have a boyfriend? I hope you didn't tell him that same nonsense? That is how you girls use your mouth to block your blessings!" Her mother said with disapproval.

"Who said I lied? Wait, is this why you came to Lagos? Leave me alone, na. Is marriage by force? Don't I have the right..."
