Jealous?

Pete sat in his office chair, tapping distractedly on his desk as he kept glancing at the clock.

It was almost time for the lunch break. Was Kathleen still going out with that guy? Who was he? Pete asked, suddenly feeling very worried about his 'employee.'

This was Ken's fault. Ken had planted the seed of lust in his mind, and the conversation he had overheard between Kathleen and her sister the previous night had only helped to water that seed of lust.

Without thinking, Pete stood up from his seat and walked out of his office, heading straight for Kathleen's office. It wasn't until he got to the office that he realized he didn't have anything in mind to say to her.

Kathleen was so engrossed in her work that she didn't realize Pete was in the office until her colleagues, who had been chattering non-stop, suddenly became silent.
