A Date?

Ken who had dozed off on the couch, opened his eyes when he heard the clink of Ella's heels and then sat up when he realized she was dressed to leave, "Ella..."

She had been hoping he was sound asleep so she could leave without having another argument or discussion with him, "Your dinner is ready. It's good to see that you feel better now. I'm leaving going home." Ella said without allowing him say anything or even looking in his direction.

She quickly picked up her handbag from the couch where she had dropped it earlier, and then picked up her phone from the center table where Ken had left it after his call with Pete. She knew she was yet to do what Pete had asked her to do, and that was because she had allowed her emotions get the best of her. But she couldn't bring herself to talk to him at the moment either. He had taken her unaware by kissing her like that, and she needed a bit of space to clear her head and think clearly before speaking to him again.
