First Kiss

It was as though both Kathleen and Pete had been holding in their laughter, the moment they got into the car Pete started laughing first, and then Kathleen joined in the laughter. They laughed so hard that tears fell from Kathleen's eyes.

"Of all days to come to church!" Pete exclaimed when the laughter finally died down.

"I'm sorry, I swear I had no idea it was family weekend. That's the most awkward prayer I've had to pray." Kathleen said making Pete chuckle.

"Well, it's okay. Let's just go home. It's late." Pete said as he turned on the ignition and started driving.

"Why don't you tell me more about yourself? I'd like to know more about you." Pete suggested making Kathleen turn to look at him.

"What would you like to know?"

"Well, you could start by telling me why you were asking God to forgive you when I was kissing you." Pete said with a chuckle making Kathleen look away in embarrassment.
