"What?" They asked in unison.
"You heard me. Let them go. I appreciate your help, but things would become messy if the police should investigate further and find out my stepmother was involved. It could cause serious problems for my father's political ambition. He loves her, and this could really hurt him, too. I'm not sure I want him to know about any of this. So, just let them go. I will resolve my issues with Amaka myself," Kimberly said, walking away before either Eric or Wumi could say anything else.
Eric sighed and returned inside the station without saying another word. "I want to speak with him in private," Eric told the policemen while looking at Kingsley.
The policemen looked at him skeptically before glancing at Kingsley, who quickly nodded his head in agreement.
