Post-traumatic Growth

[A Month Later]

"You are glowing!" Kathleen observed as she admired Kimberly, who had only returned from her honeymoon only a week ago.

It was the first time they had seen each other, and that was because Kimberly had called her the previous evening, Friday, and asked if she would mind having lunch with her at her home.

Kimberly had moved into Eric's house upon their return to the country, and she looked very much at home in a short pink gown and floppy slippers. Their wedding photos were hanging on the walls of the house.

Kimberly smiled. "I know, right? I guess that is what happens when you marry a good man who genuinely loves you," Kimberly said, still smiling happily.

Her happiness was infectious, and it automatically made Kathleen smile, too. "I guess so," Kathleen said with a nod.
