The Elf costume

Jimmy and Piers looked excited as they were about to unveil Piers' new awakened outfit. They expected somewhat of a really cool looking outfit because that's what Santa promised Jimmy as his costume. However, reality was often disappointing.

"What the hell is this?" Jimmy asked as he saw the costume that Piers pulled out of the inventory.

"Well, this is the said costume that I got as a reward for this mission." Piers said as he looked towards the costume with immense disappointment.

The costume that Piers had wasn't some cool one. Instead, it was a freaking elf costume! At least, Jimmy got the Santa costume due to pure circumstances. But for Piers, it looked like Santa was playing a cruel joke with him.

"Why me?" Piers cried as he sadly looked at it, while Jimmy consoled him.

"See, what did I tell you? That Santa guy is really a weird guy who doesn't care about anyone's feelings." Jimmy spoke as if in a "told you so" tone.

"Hey, don't bad mouth me like that when you haven't heard my side of the explanation!" Santa suddenly popped before them and cried as well.

"What did I tell you about giving some privacy to us? You are like a stalker, dude!" Jimmy sighed as he saw Santa on the screen.

"I'm sorry! But, I can't just let you talk bad about me when you haven't heard my side." Santa spoke.

"So, what's your side, huh?" Jimmy asked.

"Well…" Santa acted as if the signal was glitching over there because he didn't have a proper explanation.

"Just tell us the truth. You don't have to act out like this." Jimmy replied.

Santa sighed. "Okay. You see, I haven't made a helper's costume as well… I didn't think you'll get a helper this soon, so I was solely focused on making your suit. And you know what happened with that, right?" Santa asked.

"Then why didn't you do the same thing that you did with me and give the costume that he is currently wearing an enchantment?" Jimmy asked. The current situation didn't make any sense.

"Well, you should thank me for this situation!" Santa pointed at Jimmy and spoke.

"Me? Why would I thank you for screwing up his wear?" Jimmy asked.

"I did this considering your situation as well. Don't you think you two will match pretty well if you are to wear a Santa and an elf costume? It's perfect, isn't it?" Santa asked with a smile on his face.

"So, basically you did it because you thought they were matching, huh?" Jimmy asked to which Santa nodded vigorously. "Can I grab you from that screen and beat some sense into you?" He asked as he cracked his knuckles.

"Unfortunately for you, that wouldn't be possible! But, what did I even do wrong? I don't know why you are so angry about this! I just gave Piers, one of the latest pieces of the elf fashion week. You know how costly that is?" Santa asked back. He sounded genuine as he spoke.

Hearing Santa's argument, they decided to have another look at the elf costume to see if that changes any of their opinion. However, it never did. "So, what kind of backward fashion sense do you guys have? Or are you just not aware of the latest trends because everything comes twenty years later to the North pole?" He asked.

The costume wasn't that bad if we are to talk about quality. Jimmy could sense some expensive material as he coursed his fingers through the clothing. However, the problem here was that this sort of dress was old looking. Like, no one wears Elvis Presley looking costumes anymore other than his impersonators or if someone's paying homage to him in some sorts.

Now, imagine that costume with a green and brown shade to make it look like it was deliberately made to look kinda ugly. And to top it all off, a red nose wear was also given to make it look like the wearer was cosplaying as a reindeer as well. Overall, it was an entire mismatch of costumes piled together and called fashion.

"Well… Maybe you are right about the fashion scene here being a bit backward. However, it's still the best we could offer." Santa replied.

"Now, I'm kinda worried about the apparel that you were about to give to me in the first place. After all, if your fashion sense is this bad, I shouldn't hope for anything slightly better than this, right?" Jimmy asked, looking really concerned about it.

"Ah, don't worry about that. The design for your costume is not made by us but someone from your vicinity. We commissioned it. So, we're pretty confident about its looks." Santa assured. However, his assurance didn't help Jimmy out that much.

"Meh, whatever. Not that I expect anything off of you." He replied.

"So, I have to wear this weird costume to get the buffs, huh?" Piers finally gave into it and spoke.

"For now, yea. But, we're commissioning for your costume as well, so it won't take that long or at least, I hope it won't." Santa gave out his optimistic viewpoint.

"Cool!" Piers sighed as he heard Santa being all optimistic about it.

"Piers, why don't you wear the costume and look if it suits you?" Santa requested. He looked mighty excited about it while the other two didn't.

Reluctantly, Piers agreed to doing so. However, he didn't want to expose himself to the public so he promised that he would do it when he gets home. Santa understood his worries and agreed to it as well. Piers then did the slowest and lousiest walk one could do as he returned home with Jimmy.

Back in Piers' home, Jimmy and Santa on the screen were waiting for Piers' arrival in the costume.

"Piers, are you ready?" Santa asked from the screen. Although he could have gotten a sneak peek of the costume if he was to enter through Piers' system, he wanted to experience this moment with Jimmy, so he waited for Piers to come.

"Wait a minute. It's a bit uncomfortable in certain areas. So, I gotta adjust it." Piers shouted back.

"Is that so? Take your time with it. We got all the time in the world." Santa replied.

So, they waited for another five minutes or so for Piers to finally arrive. Although the costume was way out of style, it weirdly suited him.

"I gotta admit, I was a bit doubtful whether it would look good on him or not. Although, the nose and the hat screws up with the total ambience of the costume, even though it just messes up a bit, so that's fine. Overall, yea! It looks pretty good on him. I gotta commend you for finding something that suits him so well." Jimmy looked at Santa as if he wanted to pat him in the back.

"Thank you for the compliment. After all, I'm the one who personally picks the gifts for the kids around the world… Even though it might not be on par with your fashion sense, I still know what suits a person's tastes." Santa looked proud as he spoke.

"Are you two kidding me? In what way is this looking good on me? For Pete's sake, I'm wearing a damn red nose! Am I Rudolph or something?" A frustrated Piers asked.

"Dude, chill. I've gotta wear the beard and you the nose. It's just an entire set and you gotta bear with it if you need those buffs." Jimmy spoke.

"Well, the buffs aren't bad. +10 on both attack and speed is good for me. So yea, I get what you're saying." Piers agreed with Jimmy on that.

"And… it might act as a means of hiding our identity as well. So, yea… Two advantages, I guess?" Jimmy replied with a coy smile.

"As if a red freaking nose is gonna protect my identity!" Piers scoffed.

"Ha… I never thought you were the one who's gonna support my stance on this, little Jimmy!" Santa looked as if he was gonna go into tears as he spoke.

"Don't think too much about it. I didn't do it for you or anything!" Jimmy replied which made Santa think that he was what people called a Tsundere these days.

"Okay, I won't think much." Santa chuckled.

"Good to see that you two are having fun with it." Piers said almost sarcastically.

"I guess, yea?" Santa smiled.

Piers sighed. "Good for you. You know what? I'm just gonna change back into my normal clothes and get myself to sleep, so do whatever the hell you want to!" He said as he walked off the room, leaving Jimmy and Santa to themselves, thus creating an awkward atmosphere.

"Hey!" Jimmy looked at Santa.

"What?"

"I didn't say much about it before, but you better stop popping out of nowhere from now on." Jimmy warned.

"Okay, this was the last time I did so. Next time, I'm gonna alert you or something." Santa replied.

"Cool." Jimmy spoke, ending up creating an awkward atmosphere between them yet again.
