"What the hell are you talking about?" Jimmy asked, dawning a suspicious look on his face.
"Well, I mean, we're both a bit on the lazy side, so how about we work out together? It'd be cool, right?" Santa gave out a creepy smile as he spoke.
"You want me to work out with you?" Jimmy asked.
"Yup." Santa nodded his head.
"Are you trying to ruin your reputation with that?" Jimmy was baffled upon hearing this request.
"What do you mean?" Santa was confused as he tilted his head.
"I mean, red suit, white beard and a round belly. It's the iconic santa look. With your chubby side gone people wouldn't even recognise you!" Jimmy cried.
"Well, it's not like a lot of people see me anyway. As long as I don't go out of my way to expose myself, everyone would continue believing the myth that Santa is on the chubby side." He spoke.
"But, why-" Jimmy didn't understand Santa's motive. He was a child that loved Santa's look back in the day because he was one of those guys whom the masses universally loved. And he believed that his look played a deep role in it. No matter how many times he said that he hated Santa, he didn't want other people to hate him as well. Jimmy was truly a tsundere.
"Look, every once in a while people like to change themselves and it seems like my time has come. You know how people swarm into the gyms when it's the new years' right? You can consider this shtick as such if you want. And by the way, buff santa is a concept that's being popularized recently. I don't think people would be mad if I shed off some weight." Santa assured and gave out a thumbs up.
Jimmy kinda agreed with this statement. He also wanted to change his behavior from before. And if he wanted to change himself, it would be better if he was to change entirely. At least then, it won't remind him of his rowdy past. Although he didn't look so, he was overweight and he was aware of it. So, he didn't think this was a bad idea or something. However, he wasn't that fond to say that out loud.
"Hmm, I see. I'd have to work out anyway since my stats suck due to obvious reasons." He glanced at Santa, pinning all the blame on him for the umpteenth time. "So, it'd be pretty swell if I got a workout partner." He reluctantly spoke, not even glancing at Santa. However, Santa was aware of his tsundere behavior, so he was elated.
"I guess it's a done deal then!" He cheerfully shouted out.
"But there's still a problem though." Jimmy interrupted his celebratory dance.
"And what would that be?" Santa asked. He genuinely had no idea about this problem that he talked about.
"I can't see you for real. This system—it's something that you made. That means you can tamper it to some extent. However, I can't do that, right? So, when we have the said work out session, I could be doing work out for real while you could somehow cheat and I don't like that prospect!" Jimmy pointed out.
"This guy! Believe me for once, will ya?" Santa cried.
"Too hard to trust you. I don't know what the next stupid that you do will be." Jimmy didn't mince his words at that moment.
Seeing that he couldn't persuade Jimmy to believe him by any means, Santa gave up. "Fine! What do you suggest then? You should have some brilliant idea planned out, right?" He asked.
"Not really…" Jimmy mumbled before continuing. "But if you want to come by and work out together, that would be the optimal option. I mean, that way I could check upon you as well, right?" He continued mumbling.
"Ho, ho, ho!" Santa laughed, but his face showed a sinister smile, the kind unbefitting the man who's responsible to bring happiness. "It seems as if little Jimmy is too eager to see me. Is that why you rejected the other plan?" He gave out an even wider smirk.
Jimmy suddenly got flustered upon hearing this. "Wha—it's not like I want to see you or something! I just suggested that because I'd like to see you suffer!" He gave out an awkward laughter, as if he was lying to himself.
"Fu~fu. I get what you mean, lil Jimmy. I won't think about it any further." Santa chuckled.
"What are you talking about? I didn't mean it like that!" Jimmy tried to argue.
"Wait, what do you think I meant?" Santa asked.
"That…" Jimmy was truly stumped at that point.
"Hehehe, lil Jimmy, you got caught!" Santa just straight up laughed at that point.
Jimmy sighed. He knew that there wasn't anything he could do to change the old dude's mind. "So, what do you think about what I said?" He asked.
"Well, check the inbox in the top left." Santa requested.
Jimmy nodded his head and clicked on the inbox icon. He could see that something came for him. When he clicked on it, something materialized right before him. It was a gift box. Once he unwrapped it, he saw…
"What the hell is this?" Jimmy asked, pointing at the stuff before him.
"Oh, that's a chimney." He replied.
"And? What is this chimney doing on the floor?" Jimmy tried yanking it off the floor, unsuccessfully. "And how come I can't take it off the floor. It's not my home, you know? I have no idea how Piers would react to this." He spoke.
"Oh, don't worry about it. Piers is a good kid. He won't make a tantrum just because a chimney is on his floor. And especially since it's a gateway for his favorite Santa to make way to his home." Santa smiled.
"This chimney—it's a freaking portal? Damn, when I heard that you entered houses through their chimney, I really thought that it would be the actual chimney. But it was this one portal?" Jimmy spoke, looking at the chimney in astonishment.
"Always has been! Now, keep the milk and cookies ready for me. Coz, I'm coming!" Santa shouted as he was seen entering the portal.
