Chapter 1 : Part 2

I was in that dark hallway again, the soft blue light pulling my body towards the door at the end of the hallway. The soft crying from before getting louder as I got closer.

"Hello? Is someone there...?" I asked, leaning closer to the door to hear the muffled crying.

"GO AWAY!" A shaky voice screamed. The crying turned into laughter. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" The voice said. The laughter getting louder and louder. There was another voice coming from the other side.

The voice was talking quietly, I couldn't make out what they were saying. The laughing started again, but this time it sounded more sinnacle. "Hahahah! This is you're fault.. You killed her! Hahahahah!!!" The second voice laughed hysterically. 'Killed who?' I asked in my head, reaching for the door handle. "I SAID GO AWAY!!!!" The shaky voice screamed. Suddenly the door engulfed in hot blue flames, the burning smell made my eyes water as I jumped back in fear. The hysterical laughter started again, getting louder and louder. The creepy insane laughing made my heart stop, my body to scared to move, my breath was caught in my lungs. It hurt to breathe.. 'What the heck is going on?!'

For some reason I wanted to see what was behind that door.. No! I NEEDED to see what was behind that door. My body started to move on it's own again. I pushed the door open, the fire burned my hands, but I didn't care. I looked into the room and on the other was-

"Beep! Beep! Beep!" My eyes snapped open at the sound of my alarm clock blaring. I sat up and reached to turn it off, when I pulled my hand back I noticed my body was shaking, my breathing was heavy, and my heart was beating fast. 'W-what's going on?!' I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down. 'Just calm down. Calm down (Y/N)..' I said to myself. After a few minutes my breathing returned to normal and I wasn't shaking anymore.

I let out a sigh of relief and got out of my bed. I decided a quick shower would calm my nerves.

After getting dressed and putting my hair into a neat braid that rested on my shoulder, I went downstairs. Mom was in our new kitchen cooking while Dad was in his office on a work call... again.

"Good morning." I said as I sat at the dining table. Mom came over and put a bowl of eggs with furikake in front of me.

"Good morning sweetie. Did you sleep well?" She asked, before going to Dad's office and giving him his breakfast and returned, sitting across from me eating her food.

"It was alright I guess." I don't need to tell them about my dream. It was just a nightmare, no big deal. Plus, I don't want to make her worry. I have to be strong if I want to become a hero. She gave me a concerned look."I'm fine Mom, don't worry about me so much." I said, giving her a reassuring smile. She smiled back. I finished my food and washed my dish. I walked up to the door and pulled on my jacket that was hanging on the coat rack. "I'm going for a walk!" I shouted so the could hear me.

"Ok sweetie!" Mom shouted from the kitchen. As soon as I opened the door I saw three familiar faces walking up to our house. I immediately recognized who they were. I ran up to the white haired girl with red streaks in it.

"Fuyumi-chan!" I hugged her, and she gladly hugged back.

"Hi (Y/N)-chan!" She said cheerfully. "It's great to see you again." I smiled at her and felt a hand resting on my head, ruffling my hair. I looked up to see Natsuo. I stuck my tongue out at him playfully and he did the same. We laughed.

"I see you're still as short as ever!" He chuckled. I pouted and punched him in the arm playfully.

"Hey! Remember this shortie could pin you anytime and I still can!" I said cheekily.

"Ha! I'd love to see you try! Have you seen these muscles?" He said, flexing his biceps. Me and Fuyumi burst into laughter. He laughed a little too. I looked past Natsuo and my face lit up when I saw the dual haired boy standing awkwardly behind him like the awkward cinnamon roll he is.

"Oh my god!" I gasp. "Is that little sho-chan?!" I ran up to him and hugged him tightly, I could feel his body stiffen. I looked up to him and gave him a big smile. "I missed you guys so much!" He smiled a little and pat my head. I heard a deep voice clear their throat. I immediately let go of Shoto and looked up to the tall red headed man. I glared at him in my mind. I hated this man for how he treats his family. "Hello Todoroki-sama. It's nice to see you again." I said, bowing politely and faking a smile. He just stared at me for a bit, our eyes locking in each other's. I just smiled at him. "Please come in, we wouldn't want any of you to catch a cold." He nodded and broke his gaze from me as I showed them to the house. I entered the house, taking off my shoes as I let everyone in. Mom saw everyone coming in and greeted them. Dad came out of his office and greeted Todoroki-sama.

~

We were all sitting in the living room talking, Dad and Todoroki-sama went into his office to chat, when something finally dawned on me... 'Touya wasn't with them..Did he stay behind?'

"Hey.. um, why isn't Tou-chan with you? Did he stay home or something..?" I asked. Fuyumi and Natsuo looked at me, '..Why do they look sorry?' I thought to myself. Shoto looked down, his hair covering his eyes while he clenched his fist.

"..He died, (Y/N)-chan..." he said, his words almost cought in his throat. My eyes widened in shock. 'Touya..Died...? How? W-why!?' Questions started pouring through my mind. I could feel my eyes tear up, but I didn't let them fall.

"W-What happened t-to him..?" I asked, looking to any of them for answers. It was quiet for a few moments before Fuyumi spoke.

"...he..killed himself..in a fire." She said. 'N-no...' I felt my heart sink. My memories of him kept flashing before my eyes. 'It must have been too much him.. I wasn't there to help comfort him, I shouldn't have left! If I didn't leave he might still be here!' I was trying to keep my composure.

"That must been have been hard for all of you.. I'm so sorry you had to go through that." I said, almost choking on my words. Fuyumi put a hand on my shoulder, trying to comfort me. I appreciated what she was trying to do but it didn't work. I still felt that tight knot in my gut.

After some time passed, it started to get late and the Todoroki's had to leave. Once they were gone I turned to my parents.

"..Did you know?" I asked, a part of me hoping they didn't, hoping that my own parents didn't tell me of my best friend's death. Mom looked at Dad then at me with a sorry expression. The knot in my gut tightened and I could feel my tears start to fall.

"Why didn't you tell me!? How long have you been hiding this from me!?"

"A few years after we moved. We didn't want you to get distracted from your training." My dad spoke monotony.

"He was my best friend Dad!! How could you not tell me!? It's your fault for making us move! If you didn't make us leave maybe he'd still be alive!!" I ran out of the room, angry tears starting to pour down my face "I HATE YOU!"
