Hedley was not holding back on his attacks and Saphira knew he was testing just how far she is in her ability.
Some were in awe as they watched this, only a few captains could stand this long when it comes to the four generals.
But Saphira wasn't only standing long, she would even throw her own attacks from time to time.
Hedley, who barely moves from his spot in every spar with the captains are now moving around.
It may not be as much as her but he was still moving more than before.
Saphira finally stopped moving when a fire spear was pointed at her neck from below.
"I commend you, despite what you have said, you really didn't neglect your ability training. Only a few could stop my ability attacks with their own ability attacks. Some would lose when those abilities meet."
Hedley clapped his hand and the spear disappered.
Some knights were looking at them in awe while the others grittedn their teeth in jealousy.
Hedley was always hard on them, not even a single compliment but here she was.
She who just arrived after not being there for so long, was so easily complimented.
This was truly infuriating.
After what had happened, Saphira's name resounded again.
Not because of negative comments but because she was commended by one of the generals.
She may have lost but she was able to fight splendidly.
"Aren't you mad at the news? She embarassed the two of you yet look at it now, she was still gaining popularity, even receiving compliment from one of the generals."
One asked the two who were threatened by Saphira on the day of their first meeting.
The two looked at one another before sighing, "Let's just leave that shall we?"
Their companions were wondering why the two had been quiet all this time after what happened.
They were among those who kept talking badly about Saphira in the past.
But now even after the gossip of her being short tempered arose, the two of them didn't give their comments.
Because they were changed by something else on that day.
It is just the two of them didn't talked about what they noticed back then.
The danger they felt didn't come from Saphira.
Not even from the swords pointed at their throats.
Some were enraged because she was threatening their lives but how can they?
How can they be enraged?
When the danger they felt came from the crown prince instead.
Saphira may have appeared between them and threatened them, she may have taken their sword and pointed it at them.
Pointed it at a dangerous spot, but they felt nothing.
The only time they were able to breath was when she placed her hand on Hunter's shoulder, that was the only time that Hunter's anger had subsided.
The only time the pressure pressing on them disappeared.
Because of that they knew, Saphira had actually saved them from the crown prince.
But they couldn't speak of it.
They will be condemned for treason of trying to destroy the crown prince's image.
Because of that mindset they were able to see that Saphira didn't only save them but Hunter's image as well.
She took the blame and received the bad image for the crown prince.
And because of that one incident, their prejudice against her subsided a lot.
It subsided even more when Hedley spoke of the events other than Raynisha's betrayal.
They were all blinded by the betrayal, they weren't looking at it at a different angle.
The two sighed at what they realized and when they got the chance, they looked for Saphira.
It was an afternoon and she was standing by the walls overlooking one of the forests that were filled with demonic beasts, her squad were having their training in there.
Demonic beasts multiplies, that is the truth.
The reason why even though they kill a lot of these beasts, there are still who remained that they need to kill again.
"Commander Saphira," they called.
"Is there something I can do for you?"
She furrowed her brows.
She remembers these two, they were those whom she threatened on the day of the first meeting.
Them speaking badly about putting the other six in danger.
Could they be here to speak ill about her simply standing here while the rest are killing beasts?
Can't she have even just a bit of rest for a day?
She was listening to so many things before arriving here.
She was even glad that there was no one to disturb her short moment of peace.
Yet here are these two.
She couldn't help but to sigh.
"We want to give you our deepest apologies for the words we uttered on that day and the years before. We were blinded by so many things that we didn't realize that you were but a separate entity. Please accept our sincerest apology."
They bowed down and this seriously shocked Saphira.
Her thoughts were all negative but their reason was actually the complete opposite.
"I didn't do anything to make the two of you apologize. I even threatened your life a few days ago," she was unsure of what was going on.
"You have indeed but we didn't feel threatened at all. Because we instead felt even more threatened by his royal highness, the crown prince. He has the look of wanting to punish us then and you didn't."
Saphira looked away, "There is no such thing."
The two looked at one another, "Even so we wish that you could accept our apology."
"Stop bowing now. I am not used to that. I accept it, I accept your apology."
She was flustered, after a long time of being condemned and being insulted.
Having people sincerely apologize was something she was no lonegr used to.
Just like when Stormie and the other two apologized.
The two smiled and thanked her before leaving.
They even felt amused at the way she was flustered, they didn't expect to see such reaction from her.
