CHAPTER 90: This Is A Real Serious Matter

After their departure, Reginald called for the heads in the morning.

"There is one information I withhold from everyone," he started.

"What is it?"

"Alquira Empire sent another letter a few days ago."

They all looked at him waiting for what it was that he had with held.

It is known that it has been almost half a year since the rest left Alquira Empire and returned here.

"The Emperor informed me that the forest surrounding the battlefield had shown... life."

They were all obviously shock.

"But isn't it that Hunter reported that the forest itself have died and that it might take another hundreds of years before it will have life again?" Asherton was the one who asked.

"That is why it is an information not to be known by everyone. For it to show signs of life means someone had purified it. As for who, we have no idea."

It might be someone who walks on their own or someone who didn't know they had it.

Purification was a power long lost that for it to suddenly appear now is too much of a risk.

Since they still have no idea just who it was, it is better for it to be looked into secretly.

"Then I guess it is time for us to move?" Radcliff Amethyst, Ridge's father, asked.

He was a man of few words.

He only spoke unless necessary.

With the same purple colored eyes and hair as Ridge, he too was a master of potions and poisons.

Reginald nodded his head, "I ask of you and sir Ernest to please look into this."

The youngest among the seven was the three of them.

Radcliff Amethyst, Ernest Fletcher and Reginald Orabella.

Since they are younger, their movements will be different than the rest.

At the same time, potions and poisons, these capabilities would allow them to study the earth in there.

Wind will allow them to understand the flow of air.

"We understand, your majesty. We shall take our leave," they bowed and left.

This is a big issue that is also an urgent matter.

"Did those kids know?" Ferdinand asked Reginald.

Reginald shook his head, "I didn't inform them. For now I want them to focus on the matter at hand. To eradicate darkness. I don't want to add more on their plate."

"To think that something else is going on that we are unaware of," Truman sighed.

"How long has it been since such things occured?" Chester Celeste, Nixon's grandfather asked.

"Thousands of years," Asherton replied.

To purify a dead land due to darkness, that is something that had happened thousands of years ago.

"Thousands of years ago, the dark lord arose, right?" Reginald asked them.

The four elders sighed heavily.

"If such a thing occur now, does that mean that the dark lord has risen once again?" Ferdinand commenetd.

It was known fact that the one who purified the land back then have sealed the dark lord.

It was said that the strength wasn't enough to kill him.

It was said that that person had some offsrping that received the same power as purify.

But that person weren't in the records of those who had died.

No one knows what truly happened back then.

"This is a real serious matter. If the dark lord had indeed been out of his seal, then the battles those chilren will face would be even more difficult."

They can only hope that the seven of them will become even stronger in order to face such strong opponent.

*****

Their travel was slow paced and all of them were quiet.

Drake was in thought of the words that his grandfather had left him.

"Don't be too hard on yourself. You can hate, I won't stop you if that is what you think will allow you to keep going forward. But you are not the only one suffering from everything that happened. Your friends are as well. Don't lose sight of them no matter what and have regrets afterwards."

Drake knew very well that his grandfather was letting him feel the way he wants because he knew that Drake would lose all purpose if not for this emotion.

But this is the very first time that his grandfather had spoke about the pain of the others and him losing sight.

Somehow it feels like he was pertaining to something that Drake couldn't comprehend as of the moment.

He was currently at the back and when he looked up, it was the six of them who are in front of him.

Then his eyes went to Saphira's back.

It was still that small back he would look at and then his heart would be filled with hatred.

But when Saphira stood up in front of him and Willow.

And then her anger erupting for finding out what Esther wanted to do to Willow.

He couldn't feel his hatred at all.

Even the warmth of her fire after that phoenix fire descended on them, what he felt was nostalgia.

In the end, he even found himself thanking her.

If this was the past, even when they just reunited, the hatred in his heart wouldn't have made him look at her in such a way.

But now...

He clenched his hands into fists.

He hate her.

That was how he should feel yet he knew he was changing and his hating it even more.

Why?

Why must he not hate the one whose sister took his brother away?

'Ah what did I do this time? Why is he glaring at me again?' Saphira thought feeling Drake's piercing eyes on her back.

Then she smiled, being the one in front the rest couldn't see it.

'But well this is much better than staying in the Empire with more than one piercing eyes.'

She looked ahead with her eyes turning serious, it is time to move.

Time to get started.

Time to get everything that went out of hand into place.

No matter what, she will surely put an end to this, together with these people who has her back no matter what.

And she will make sure that she will protect them as well.

To the truth that will surely shake them to the core.
