CHAPTER 124: I Saw That Stupid Vision

"Is it because you haven't truly fully recovered yet?" Qirin asked again.

"No, nothing of such sort. I just suddenly had a headache."

Though it was truly confusing, Vermilion Bird brushed off that vision as nothing.

"Come to think of it, the others asked something," Qirin changed the topic.

Though even he was confused of why he suddenly felt something and came here when he has no particular business in here.

"What is it?"

"Our first hosts, they asked if we remember them."

Vermilion Bird looked at him before thinking back.

"I can't seem to remember though," he answered.

Qirin didn't know whether to hit him or not.

The two of them spoke about it before and that they had simply thought it as something unnatural.

But Vermilion Bird actually acted like he was trying to remember when he was the one who said to leave it be.

"You do remember we talked about it once and you told me to brush it off, right?" Qirin pointed out.

Vermilion Bird who was still trying to remember stopped what he was doing and looked at Qirin.

"Of course... Of course I remember."

'Crap I don't remember at all. Was I half asleep when we talked?' he thought.

Qirin squinted his eyes, "No you don't remember at all."

Vermilion Bird cleared his throat and no longer replied.

"Why the sudden curiosity anyway?" he asked after a while.

"It seems that the hosts asked about the relationship between the mythological beasts and somehow the others suddenly realized that they don't remember our first hosts. Just the two of us though."

"Ah that nonsense heirarchy just because we became mythological beasts first," Vermilion Bird replied.

In all honesty, he didn't care about it.

But the rest were and they ended up following his orders a lot.

That was easier for him though, at the very least he didn't need to expand so much energy just to make them do something.

But nope, he never intended to use it in anything else.

He was too lazy to think about such things.

Qirin was the same, the two of them didn't want to bother about it.

But sometimes it is a good thing because doing things are easier.

Just like when they need to retreat when they met Raynisha again.

The others not coming out was enough to pull the hosts back.

"Why would these kinds of stupid talks would suddenly come up at such weird times?" Vermilion Bird asked.

He flew up...

<'She really is...' then he sighed.>

Vermilion Bird ended up falling on the ground.

Qirin was the same, he was unable to help since he too suddenly had that vision.

"This is the second time today, what is going on?"

Vermilion Bird rubbed his wing that was hurt due to his fall.

"Second time? So you were looking unwell because you saw such a thing?" Qirin asked him.

"You saw it?" Vermilion Bird asked him in shock.

He thought it was just him, he didn't expect that Qirin would be the same.

"Could that be related to what we were talking about?" Qirin asked him.

"Huh? I wasn't thinking anything about that when I saw that stupid vision," Vermilion Bird instantly rebuked.

He shook his head and flew up, this time succeeding on landing in the window.

"Let's leave that be, if it doesn't affect anything then it is just some visions of the past," he added before closing his eyes.

Those two sudden headaches were a hassle for him, now his head felt like it wants to explode.

He just wants to sleep.

Qirin sighed, though it was true, that must just be something about the past.

And it doesn't seem like it was something to be worried about since it looks like it was just about some love stories of some sort.

He glanced at Saphira before leaving the room.

Unbeknownst to them, in her sleep, even Saphira have seen these short visions.

Amongst everyone, it was only the three of them who have seen it.

Hunter, who was within the forest, opened his eyes from his concentration.

He furrowed his brows before shaking his head.

Something just suddenly distracted him.

But he didn't know what.

He just ended up feeling something.

He brushed it off and once again closed his eyes feeling the ground beneath him.

It wasn't only the ground that was corrupted with darkness but he was trying to go even further down.

To touch that part of the earth.

He had been doing this for a few days now and he is starting to feel that the darkness is affecting him.

He felt like grabbing his team and beating them up for all their negligence.

And he felt like hating them for making Saphira go through all those things.

"Why don't you go? They are all alone, if you go then no one will really know who beat them up."

Somehow he felt like it had been whispering such words to him.

"Shut up."

"What? Are you really okay with what they have done to her?"

"No."

"Then go."

"But I have no desire to wash my hands in blood of those friends of mine. No matter what they had done, I became angry towards them. I just want to hit them but that doesn't mean I will push through with it. I am not that type of person. You can go if you want."

And every single time, this conversation would be repeated and that darkness will disappear with a harrumphed.

He had to do this a few times in a day.

As long as it disappears he knew that he had expelled the darkness that sipped through his body.

At times he would even find dark smoke coming out.

'Though it is really difficult to keep facing it. The persistence is becoming stronger. Maybe I should take a break for now,' he thought before returning to their place.

"That's not quite right though, he should do it differently. The way he does it, surely..."
