CHAPTER 147: A Mature Brat

"Why are you up there Saphira?"

Raynisha asked looking up to a tree.

"Well, I just love the view of the tree top, sister," she replied as she descended.

Her red orange aura surrounded her, allowing her to come down at a slower pace.

Since Phoenix was her in born beast, as a flight beast it became easier for her to climb up trees and come down the same.

But flying is something she was still incapable of.

"How many times did we tell you that you must not play around such high places," Raynisha reprimanded in an exasperated manner.

Saphira just giggled before her cute little eyes went sharp.

"Now I understand why I truly never liked them in the first place. I can feel respect but outside of that I really don't feel like getting close to them."

"You sound like an adult right now," Raynisha extended her hand for Saphira to hold.

She gestured for the two of them to have a walk towards a lake nearby where beautiful wild roses bloom as well.

Saphira held her hand and the two slowly walked.

"Is this the time I should apologize that you have to hear that," Raynisha asked her with a laugh.

Saphira instantly scrunched up her face.

Having such a cute little face, scrunching up actually looks even cuter on her.

"Oh please sister," she even rolled her eyes.

"Too mature for your own good."

Raynisha pinched her plump cheek.

"What do you plan on doing now then?"

Soon, after sitting down on the green grass and while Saphira started throwing pebbles on the calm lake, Raynisha popped up the question.

"Why would you be asking me that?" she asked back.

She doesn't look like she was the least bit affected by what she had heard.

She started scrutinizing the stones she was throwing to the lake as if searching for a gem within them before throwing those that are truly not beautiful.

"Well, you have heard what they truly feel about you guys, what do you plan on doing now?" Raynisha elaborated the question.

"Nothing, what do I have to do?" she asked in return.

Raynisha watched her enjoy what she was doing.

"Are you not going to tell the rest?"

Soon throwing stones became boring for her that she ended up yawning.

She walked over to where Raynisha was sitting and lay down beside her.

"They would just get hurt once they know. And if they do then their training would be affected, what's the point of causing all of that when your teammates are doing their best to hide their nature anyway?"

Raynisha looked down at her as she once again yawned.

"My sleep was interrupted."

Raynisha chuckled, "Go on and sleep then, I will wake you up in a bit."

'A mature brat,' Vermilion bird spoke.

'Indeed too mature for her age. That sometimes I just wish she could enjoy herself more instead,' Raynisha answered.

'I can seem to see this young one will become someone great once she grows old. At such a tender age, she could already tell what she should do and what she should not.'

Raynisha smiled gently and fixed Saphira's hair.

'If it were the rest, they would already be crying by now,' she commented.

Vermilion bird no longer answered and Raynisha just took a deep breath.

She and Vermilion Bird would speak from time to time but they never truly had a close connection.

It remained as host and inborn beast.

'I wonder if it were Saphira who became your host, would you be happier?' she asked in him.

Vermilion Bird remained silent, still not answering her question.

(End Of Flashback)

"So you knew from way way back that they already have this kind of attitude towards us," Stormie slowly said.

"I do but we all are obligated to train, if you knew, would you have trained as hard as you did?" she asked in return.

"No, I don't think I would have," Stormie answered truthfully.

She is not blaming Saphira for with holding such information.

She knew at such a young age, she would have been greatly affected if she knew that Samuel was disgusted towards her.

Hunter remembered the time he spoke with his mother about secrets between her and his father.

'You know Saphira, she does not keep things to herself unless necessary.'

He knew here that she kept it to herself because she took into consideration the outcome if she were to tell them.

"Though I do feel bad..."

She continued looking at each of them.

"I was hurt as well by what I have heard from them. But I want all of you to remain level headed, you might hear more hurtful words. But be strong, no matter what."

They looked at her and nodded their heads.

"It is painful indeed but we are no longer those children who relies entirely on them. Don't worry," Stormie answered with a smile.

"That's what I want to hear," Saphira commented.

Felix watched them and was once again amazed by how they face every situation that was thrown to them.

He had belittled them in the beginning but right now, he was eating all the words that he had said back then.

"Thank you."

Stormie faced him and thanked him causing him to be shock.

"For trying to protect me from those words."

"I barely did anything, I could only cover your eyes. In the end it was Nixon who truly protected you from him," Felix replied.

Though he should have covered her ears instead.

But when he saw her cry, it was her eyes that his hands ended up covering.

Nixon just shook his head, gesturing that it was nothing.

"For now, we all need to rest, we have been to a lot and we will have to face more. Since we are done here, you all should rest."

After Saphira's instruction, each of them left.

"Have you ever regretted the decisions you have made in the past?" Hunter asked Saphira when there was only the two of them left in the library.
