CHAPTER 152: I Can Do As I Please

Saphira shrugged, she liked it better, no one will try and pester her now.

On the other hand, since he was announced as the vice commander, Hunter didn't have to act as the crown prince and so he chose to exude an ice cold deathly aura before walking to Saphira's side.

This was so that no one could approach him either.

But somehow, some have noticed something.

Even though that commander and vice commander were standing on the side, having their own world, the other five stood together.

Some tried to strike some conversation but since they are together they couldn't really talk about specific matters.

"Can we invite you for a dance?"

Soon the dreaded part came to be.

Willow and Stormie agreed out of courtesy.

Drake and Ridge would agree but just for a short while before they were back and when some would invite Nixon, the two of them would agree instead.

Of course, this was noticed as well, so they managed to pull the four of them away from Nixon who haven't danced a single dance yet.

Now, two other ladies are trying to pester him in dancing with them.

"I really am tired, I apologize. I was doing some training and was left with a tired body," he smiled with uncertainty.

"You can't trick us, we can see that you are full of vigor right now," one spoke while the other tried to reach to his arm.

Nixon stiffened and didn't know whether to slap her hand away or simply runaway.

But these people are nobles of this kingdom.

He regretted not taking Hunter's choice.

But two of them were already aloof enough, he can at least interact but more than that...

Just then, the hand that was reaching to his arm was stopped by another hand that appeared on his side.

"He may seem like that but he really was tired. I wish that the ladies would understand."

Nixon heaved a sigh of relief when Stormie spoke up.

"You again," one frowned.

Stormie had been stopping others from touching him for quite a while now.

They have noticed this as well.

"Just because you are a part of the group doesn't mean you can do as you please," another retorted.

They've had their eyes on Nixon for quite sometime now.

It was a known fact that he was a gifted water ability user.

One of the very few who can heal wounds.

Hunter was too ice cold.

Drake was smiling but it never reached his eyes, it was scary.

Ridge was too focused on his experiments that the one who would suggest they stopped dancing would be his partners.

So for these ladies, Nixon who looked easy going but was gifted and capable enough were the best choice to get close to.

Stormie smiled.

"Stormie..."

Nixon tried to stop her but Stormie looked at him and smiled.

"Saphira already said it we have our mission but that doesn't mean we will just swallow their words against us. This is my thanks to you for that day."

She haven't forgotten that Nixon created the water bubble that didn't allow her to listen more to Samuel's ramblings on that day.

"Yes, I can do as I please. Because I have helped in cleaning up the demonic beasts from this kingdom. What about you? You were simply doing your thing inside the comfort of your home and then appeared here acting as if you were the boss not listening to our words at all. Who is more irritating then?"

The other lady's faces turned dark because of her word.

But before anyone could speak up, Felix walked up to them.

"They are the precious guest of the Royal Family, I wonder what the ladies over here are trying to do? You can't possibly be trying to fight them when they are GUESTS."

Felix emphasized that no one should be unreasonable towards the seven of them because they are guests.

The ladies could only shut their mouths.

"Our commander is calling for us now, please excuse us," Stormie looked towards Saphira.

Saphira was already facing the king and looking at them.

When Stormie looked at her, she nodded her head.

Stormie nodded in return.

She was not calling them but she understood what Stormie was doing.

"Let's go," Stormie said to Nixon before bowing in thanks towards Felix.

Nixon did the same and followed Stormie out of that crowd.

Felix watched them walk away before turning his head towards Saphira and his father.

"We are going to leave now your majesty," Saphira said with respect.

Jacob was shocked, it hadn't been half an hour yet.

"There are certain reasons that we chose not to attend these kinds of events. But we have agreed now because your majesty and his highness the crown prince had been good to us all this time."

Other than the beginning, they were gracious enough towards them.

"By certain reasons you mean..."

Of course he had noticed how the rest were trying to stop anyone from approaching Nixon at a distance too close for comfort.

Mostly, the ladies.

"This..."

Saphira smiled as the others slowly disappeared from the crowd.

Since the crowd were watching them closely, they had to move about quite a lot before stepping out of that room.

If they regroup before leaving surely everyone will notice and stop them.

"It is not simply a phobia, your majesty. It was a trauma the rest of us didn't want to remember. All of us have encountered more than what was known."

Jacob was left with no words as he nodded his head in agreement for their departure.

Soon the seven of them disappeared from the ball and it was too late when everyone noticed it.

The ball ended shortly after.

"Your majesty, the crown prince is missing," Helios spoke when they were the only two left.

"I am aware. It is fine, he needs to understand the world as well. Those children will be his greatest teacher in this matter."

The children that was strong but scarred, Jacob could never compare even with all the years in his life.
