CHAPTER 234: Because You Don't Have To

During this month, Saphira would call Draco Empire or Nembus Kingdom, she wanted to make sure that they are not affected by anything.

Or that the dark forces didn't place their eyes on them.

These two places are where a piece of their heart was.

If they are to receive another blow now, it would be too much.

Reginald of course sent help towards these places and the others but Saphira still worries because what the dark force attack wasn't the physical one.

What they attack was the heart.

And if you are weak then you will be gine forever.

It was so easy that this truly scares her yet she can't do anything about it.

She can only pray that they could make the barrier on time.

When she can see that they can make the barrier at the shortest time, she gathered them.

"Before we go on, in this land. I would like to return first to the other places. Felix's kingdom will be the first. They can say we have favorites but I have no desire to cause more emotional burden to any of us."

They were shock to hear her decision but they didn't object.

It is better for them to have a peace of mind as they go on with their journey.

"We understand," they acknowledged.

Saphira gave Zian another call and informed him of their plan.

"Saphira," Zian stopped her from her explanation.

He smiled, "I am glad that you thought of this place as such but Nembus Kingdom is closest to you, if you go west then you can be there. But if you come here after that, it will take longer. It is still better for you to finish the barrier over there after Nembus Kingdom before coming here."

Saphira's eyes wavered, she didn't expect for him to reject her.

Zian smiled in defeat, "You understand the condition of this palce right?"

She pursed her lips.

"Even after eradicating those people, this empire lived through so many dirty means. It must still be filled with darkness and I think this is the best place for them to come."

She looked at him as if ready to cry, Zian chuckled, "I won't die or the people you became acquainted with. If they indeed attack this place before you come then we will do our best to survive. We will run if we have to but I will make sure we won't die until you return."

She looked at him filled with worry.

"Don't look at me like that I am not dead, I just understood very well after ascending to the throne that this empire is seriously..."

He sighed, as time goes on with him being the emperor, he saw more and more things about the empire he didn't before.

"The only reason you came here first after Nembus Kingdom because you were trying to follow the elite squad's trail. But in reality, if you followed what was closest, you should have been there first before here."

That's right they made a big circle out of these three lands.

"We are already lucky enough to have that, you saved us from those hideous people but I never wanted to give you any burden, so focus on your work. We will survive that is for sure."

She bit her lower lip before she nodded her head.

In reality, she was well aware fo this.

Of the fact that Draco Empire might already be a lost case because she herself had roamed the place during the first days of her stay here.

And when she first stepped out of the cocoon, despite the battle, she felt it.

That land was really filled with darkness.

It must have started in the imperial city and because the royal family was unjust, the people had to ten dto themselves to which they did anything just to continue living.

After the call ended, she was still feeling down.

But then again, she can't stay that way.

She took a deep breath and walked to the rest.

"Change of plans, we will go to Nembus Kingdom and then back here before going back to Draco Empire. These three lands are the closest to one another. After that we will check on the other lands that we had been to."

No one questioned her as they can see that this decision was very difficult for her.

Being their commander, she was amde to make the most difficult decisions. She can put her emotions on some but she can't always follow them.

She had to be the one who receive the advise and rebuke when she was to make a wrong decision.

She was supposed to be the one who had the strongest emotional capability within them.

"Okay then, one more week. Let's do our best to do everything we can until the time limit is over," she said with finality.

They went their way while Hunter remained by her side.

"We are still growing Saphira," he started placing a hand on her head.

She looked at him wondering where this was suddenly coming from.

"Because we are still young, we decide with our emotions and it hurts whenever we can't do what we think was not right. When we have to consider more things than what we already have. Don't beat yourself up with how things are turning."

"I am not though, seriously," she replied.

Hunter shook his head, "Don't act to be strong because you don't have to."

Her eyes went wide momentarily before blinking away the shock she felt.

He frowned seeing her reaction but she ended up smiling widely.

"You can really see through me in so many ways."
