CHAPTER 272: I Found Out That...

"You are back?"

After being called by Hunter and knowing that it was Saphira who called for them, this was the first question they asked her.

Saphira smiled, the usual smile they would see on her.

"I'll speak about that later, for now let's do the barrier."

"But we haven't checked the other places yet," Willow spoke in confusion.

"It is fine, just surround me."

Though confused by this, they followed what she wanted and they surrounded her.

She faced Felix and in the blink of an eye, the mana fire appeared in her hands.

Felix took control of it, the way she had taught him.

Saphira looked at each of them, they are currently standing at the garden of the palace.

Hunter asked that no one was to disturb them.

And so the royal family watched from the side and was shock to see them progress without a pause.

Saphira, seeing as all of them were ready, created the mana fire of light ability.

Even though they didn't get why the condition was suddenly changed, they just waited patiently for her to do what she needed to do.

In the first times they created the barrier, Saphira had them stay on different places while she connect to them to create the barrier.

But now, they are all in one place.

Saphira raised her hands just as light passed through her body towards the ground and one after another, light connected her to the others.

Once the light was connected, they each raised their hands as well.

In the past they watched the barrier slowly being build but this time, they watched Saphira slowly spread her arms once the top of each light was connected.

When she spread her arms, the pillar of light encompassing their bodies, moved back as well.

It moved at a fast speed, going to different distances and directions.

Saphira closed her eyes and somehow she can see all the scenes that the pillars passed through.

After a while, she once again opened her eyes and her ruby colored orbs turned gold as the others felt a strong force spreading from her body towards the pillars of light that left.

When they raised their heads, they can vaguely see the colorful almost transparent barrier before it turned completely invisible.

The light feeling they always feel whenever the barrier was properly erected, came like usual.

It was the feeling that the surrounding darkness was no longer there.

It felt light and calming.

Even the Royal family and Elizabeth felt the calming feeling the barrier brought.

"How come?" Nixon couldn't help but ask.

"I guess after my true self really came out and all my true feelings have come about, the light ability just strengthened. I can feel the surrounding that the lights came in contact with. Meaning I can make the barrier even without us checking the whole lands. Also, I can somehow detect the demonic beasts and forces around us. This time around, there was lesser numbers of them and it seemed that they were weaker, the barrier was able to push them away from this place."

They turned agape by her explanation.

"Could this be the reason why you chose to forget temporarily? For the light ability to become stronger?" Stormie couldn't help but ask.

Saphira laughed and her laugh was so light, they couldn't help but to feel the happiness it contained.

They can clearly see that Saphira was even more free now.

"No, I just had a feeling that something else was still suppressing the light ability, I didn't know that it was all because of my own stubbornness."

She was shrugging it off like it was a normal thing but the relief on her face visibly shows that this was a big thing.

"There is another thing I want to confirm to myself when I chose to have my memories temporarily removed."

She looked at them seriously, "I want to know who I will be if I wasn't this person right now. Not the commander of the Order of the Seven Myths. Not the host of Vermilion Bird. Not a part of the Fiamma family. Who will I be? WIll I be better?"

They all looked at her with a frown.

She smiled, "Don't worry I had no plans on letting go, that is why everything was temporary, whether I find the answer or not. I only gave myself a week of time."

Hearing her words, they were visibly relieved.

"Anyway, I found out that..."

As she paused she pulled her sword out and raised it up, allowing the shine of the moon to reflect on it.

"I hated it."

They thought they'd hear her say that she liked it, they didn't expect to hear her say that she hated it.

"Watching you all fight on your own, being unable to do anything and simply being protected, I hated it."

She looked back at them, "I'd rather get tired over and over again than become someone who won't be able to do anything when all of you are to be placed in danger."

She chuckled, "I guess even without memories my heart and body remembers that all of you are just that important to me. I wouldn't want you all to just die or be hurt while I can't do anything."

The others were moved tremendously by her words and the sincerity in her eyes.

Even after everything, she still chose to cherish them as her treasured friends.

Nixon scratched the back of his head as he placed his arm around Ridge's shoulder, he couldn't help but to grin from ear to ear.

Ridge tried to hide his grin by pushing his glasses up but the grin was still there.

Drake chuckled and shook his head, every single bit of him doesn't have a tiny bit of hatred towards her now.

Stormie placed her arms around Willow's arm with her eyes reddening, Willow was no different.

Felix lowered his head but he was grinning as well.

Saphira's eyes looked at each of them a while ago, she didn't only look at the other six but Felix was looked at as well.

Saphira was showing that she treats him as a treasured friend already.

He couldn't help but be moved while being shy about it.

And to the shock of all of them, Hunter actually held her chin and made her face him before kissing her directly on her lips.

Saphira was shocked but she just accepted it.
