Chapter 29

Still, now was not the time to congratulate his young master, because even if Timothy learned those facts, it was not like he could do anything since he had now passed out while being carried home. Seeing their son pass out in Martin's arms, Timothy's parents looked Martin in the eyes and only began to calm down when Martin nodded in agreement that Timothy was only exhausted and needed to recharge.

Throughout the rest of the day, word spread about Timothy advancing and what it had meant for the Boulder Village tournament. If he was able to be a contender, it could be said that the other top talents of his generation would be forced to give it their all to land in the top three spots. According to what one of the guards had told Martin to pass along, was that the tournament was a cover for the top clans in the village to estimate how their futures would look so if Timothy where to place in the top three, it would be equivalent of showcasing that his family would be a top three power within the village.

Currently there were three major clans within the village and ten noble level clans within. Every time the tournament was held, the three major clans would compete for first place, while the other ten competed for the top eight spots. For anyone else, if someone outside of these thirteen clans were to place within the top ten, they would be instantly recruited by at least one of the three major clans whether by marriage or other means.

Compared to Mist City's major and noble level clans, the thirteen clans within Boulder Village could be considered below average. The reason for this, was because a city had much more wealth and resources compared to villages, and in more cases than not, a clan within even the weakest of cities could be a branch family from a major power within Bark Kingdom.

Hearing that it had already been six days, caused Timothy to feel rather disappointed. Ever since he had started cultivating, it seemed as if everything he wanted to accomplish was not under his control and that the heavens were constantly playing tricks on him for some reason.

Usually, a cultivator feeling like this for almost a year would not brush it off very easily and would contemplate why the heavens were playing such tricks on them, but Timothy was different. If he did not have an unrivaled ability to clone any item once, he would indeed fall into a deep abyss of questioning himself and everything.

"Since I am still here in Boulder Village, I might as well stay an extra day and compete within the tournament. I am sure that everyone else my age will want to pull me down and to showcase their dominance, but from our spar earlier, I now understand my weaknesses much better. It will not be easy for any of my opponents to overwhelm me due to my speed and superior techniques!" Timothy told Martin.

By Timothy's request, Martin gave him some privacy. In truth, Timothy's family was already gifted a brand new home, but because of Arthur's hard work and help during the time of everyone's needs, the elders and mayor felt that gifting this shack to the family would not be a loss for them, especially since it was full of blacksmith tools and such which were useless to them since they were not blacksmiths themselves.

Laying down, Timothy began having a conversation with his master. Master Sei was very pleased that he had the Bronze Body physique because it meant that his future shined brightly even if he did not have such an overpowered ability to build endless wealth for himself and his family. Even if Timothy chose to not cultivate very much, his Bronze Body physique would not allow him to not advance. With the Bronze Body physique, Timothy would be able to reach the Master stage of Energy Refinement if he chose to never cultivate as an Energy Refinement cultivator.

"So what you are telling me, is that no matter what I choose, I would automatically be considered a top expert within Bark Kingdom?" Timothy asked his master with a shocked expression on his face. If it was like this, couldn't he halt spending so much time cultivating, and focus on other things like earning a large sum of money?

"If you would be satisfied by being a top expert in a remote and weak region of what I could tell is a weak world, you truly do not deserve to have such a rare physique!" Master Sei angrily replied as if he wanted to beat his disciple over the head until his frustrations faded away. If any cultivator from his own world were to hear Timothy's argument about neglecting cultivating while saving such a physique, would cry and spite the heavens for wasting such a miracle on a brat like him!

"It was a joke master, really!" Timothy tried to help calm down Master Sei, because he realized how ignorant his idea was. The goal of cultivating was to walk the path towards immortality, and if Timothy were to reach the legendary stage of cultivation that gave him immortality, he would have forever to act out these other worldly plans with no other worries.

"Anyways, I do not feel that you are ready for the tournament. Your cultivation may be in the top five of the younger generation within Boulder Village, but you absolutely are lacking in proper combat experience. Even with stronger techniques, if you do not understand how to properly use and execute them, you are only asking to be a punching bag for everyone else who is competing."

"Your new challenge is to at least place within the top ten of the tournament tomorrow. If you are able to do this, I will allow you to learn another training technique that I was originally waiting to wait to hand you. Originally, I wanted to wait until you were of the Advance stage because I thought this region would have more opportunities for you to experience life and death battles, but I do not believe you will for quite some time." Master Sei told Timothy as a curious look appeared on his disciple's face.
