"Oh I see, well if you recognize him so much, I suppose I have no choice but to do the same. For you to recognize someone, he must have given you quite a gift or just seems that capable to you." Jack said in a joking manner. This was the first time that George ever went out of his way to talk positively about someone who did not have a proper background to back it up. Therefore, Jack felt that it would be wise to get along with him right away to earn some good karma.
"Well as you now know, my name is Jack and I am the only personal disciple of the Dean of Holy Sword Institute. Our Holy Sword Institute is the top school in Mist City and every new Dean can only choose a single disciple to personally keep from the Relic Church of poaching from the school. I am unsure why he chose me out of all of my peers, but apparently I have the Aura of the Sword which is rare even in those who specialize in wielding one." Jack said in a very humble manner.
Hearing what he had said, caused Timothy to have many questions, but he could only wait until the group disbanded before he could ask Master Sei them.
"I was only a commoner when I was accepted into the school, and I was unable to keep up in cultivation with the majority of my peers so since the very first day I was confused on how I was even accepted. It was not until learning how rare my aura was, did I feel worthy of even being a student of the number one school in Mist City! I have my master to thank, because after accepting me as his personal disciple, I finally began making many friends including George and was able to comfortably move my parents into the city without any worries." Jack told Timothy before asking him about his background.
As Timothy began to tell his own story, George stood up to talk to several other individuals who made their way over. He seemed to already have a rough idea of Timothy so there was no need for him to sit and listen to his life long story. "And so that is when George spotted me and invited me to come here. I would love to find a school to enter soon, but I have been waiting for your Holy Sword Institute to begin their recruiting period to test my strength and luck." Timothy told Jack with a small smile on his face.
"Well, you being an Elementary level three dual cultivator before the age of eleven definitely stands out. Even in our Midst City, everyone chooses only a single type of refinement because it is believed that once had an easier time only focusing on a single path instead of two. At the same time, since you are willing to walk both paths, you will automatically have an edge over others and you may even be able to go toe to toe with someone at least two levels higher than you in the same stage." Jack told Timothy after he pondered over what he would say to respond.
"I know how it feels starting from the bottom and working your way up and I have yet to even reach my own personal peak. Regardless of how things go with George, you will always have a friend in me. It was already enough to have him as your recommendation, but he has never had to struggle much in his life since he is the first in line successor of his clan." Jack told Timothy before putting his fist up.
As time went on, Timothy began meeting a small handful of others who George and Jack were familiar and friendly with. As expected, all of these different individuals were very wealthy business owners, or had ties to a strong local organization. From what he has deduced, was that George and Jack cared much more about the quality of those they surrounded themselves with and not the quantity. And since everyone who introduced themselves knew this, they automatically wanted to make contact with Timothy, even if it was just enough to recognize him once more at a later time.
Unfortunately, being recognized was in fact a good thing but the negative aspect of this, was that Timothy did not have his foundation properly built yet. So all he could do was politely introduce himself and to remember these individuals so that in the future when things were moving better, he could truly utilize these contacts properly to continue expanding.
Inside he was still very much excited for this opportunity because not a single person looked to have ill intentions towards him. After roughly one hour went by, their small group of four expanded to eleven and were now sitting together at a big circular table waiting for the auction to begin. At the moment, Timothy had roughly four thousand and five hundred gold pieces on him, because during the hour, he asked one of the attendants for help concerning all of his items he wished to sell.
This would be enough for him to bid on two lower tier items and since he had made so many new connections, he could quickly clone them and offer them as gifts to those he wanted to become closer with. What he did not realize was that everyone at the table besides George and Jack had other plans in mind.
Suddenly the entire building went quiet as a woman now standing on stage told everyone to settle down because the auction was about to start. Excitement filled the building as the presenter in charge of presenting each item suddenly appeared on stage. She was extremely beautiful and looked as if she was a beautiful fairy. She wore a Ruby short skirt which along with her red hair and earrings made almost every man in the building go wild for a moment.
