"We will remain here until the quartermaster sends over the inventory that the four soldiers signed for to use. As long as everything is present, you will be free to go. You, go over and give this to the quartermaster." after writing a small letter, the general handed it over to one of the two soldiers as the coldness in his eyes shifted slightly to one of concern.
Roughly one hour later, the soldier returned with a list of items that were associated with the four soldiers who were captured by the demon beast. Luckily, it was a rule in the military to always bring back any broken items. This rule was put in place for such situations and also to save even a tiny bit on materials to create new similar ones in the future, since the military was after all, paid by the citizens of the kingdom.
And so, there was not just every item on the list located within the storage ring, but also three demon beast corpses which helped explain the items that were broken inside. Nodding his head, the two soldiers quickly uncuffed Timothy before the general began asking the remainder of his questions.
The questions were just giving estimations on things such as the middle aged man's cultivation level, the level three demon beast, and how many demon beasts seemed to be close by it and under its direct control. After he finished his report, Timothy was told that he could leave in just a few minutes but that something needed to be done first and foremost for his efforts.
"This here is a token given to those who have done our Stone Kingdom's military a great service. It does not do much for someone of your age, but in the future, you will be able to use it to help you quite a bit. Within the token is a report stating what you had actually done to earn the token." the general told Timothy before continuing.
"There are many retired military experts within our Stone Kingdom who have done quite a bit during their service. If you come across any, or those who are friends with one which is almost always the case, they will think twice about giving you any troubles, but some may even help you out. Since you only earned a one star token, it does not mean that they have to go above and beyond, but you would at least be able to get away with your life at the very least."
"You could always use the token in other kingdoms as well, but over the countless years of our existence, our Stone Kingdom has gone through many wars with our neighbors. We may be at peace now for the most part, but there still exists those who want to see our kingdom crumble or even to suffer."
"Just be careful in the future concerning how you choose to use the token. Another thing, if you were to perish at any time whether of old age or being killed, our Stone Kingdom will hold a proper burial for you. Unfortunately, one star token would only allow you to be buried with other ordinary soldiers and it would only be in name, we would not actually do it with your body." the general told Timothy before finally dismissing him. The other two soldiers present escorted Timothy out of the camp.
Timothy was rather pleased that not only was he able to leave with his life, but also another token he could add to his collection. He now had a token from the Bark Kingdom as well as the Stone Kingdom. Part of him wanted to treat the tokens like a collectible game and work towards receiving them from every new kingdom he was to visit in the future. However, that was something to think more about in the far future since he wanted to remain in Stone Kingdom for an extended amount of time.
It seemed like he was forced to move far too quickly and he was only eleven years old. He wanted to find a good place to settle down until he turned at least eighteen before deciding what he wanted to do. Sure he lived most of his years in the township, but over the course of only two years, he had been pulled in many different directions. Stability is what he truly wished for now and cherished.
Plus, if he were to remain in Stone Kingdom for a long enough period of time, it was possible that his family would go out of their way to try to relocate once more or to at least visit him. Part of this was just trying to think positively about his current situation, but the other part was that he did want to see his family no matter what once more before they would pass away from old age.
After traveling for a total of three more days, Timothy finally found himself at the edge of the Monster's Wasteland and Stone Kingdom. "Human civilization at last!" Timothy thought to himself as he almost wanted to kiss the ground as he finally exited the Monster's Wasteland. It was now time to begin his life once more and to build the true foundation that his Golden Finger Merchant Group would be built on.
It was actually rather nice, because George along with his friends filled out some paperwork and added it to the storage ring they all pitched in to fill. The paperwork was for Timothy so that when he recreated his merchant group, he could list all of them as official allies and trading partners of the company. This would be distributed throughout all of the human kingdoms and would allow them to be looked at much more seriously.
