Chapter 89

Timothy's new goal was to work his way up to possibly buying out an entire village, and slowly turning it into a city so that for many generations to come, his family would be able to enjoy an endless amount of wealth. It did not matter how big or small a city was, every year there would be a large lump sum waiting for the creator of the city to collect.

Making his way closer to the city, Timothy finally realized how large the coliseum truly was as he almost approached the city gates. The gates to the city were at least fifty feet high, which from a quick calculation, meant that the coliseum was at least five hundred and fifty plus feet off the ground level. However, it was the fact that it still took up a total of two miles concerning how wide it was!

Compared to the line to enter into Mist City, the line he was now in to enter Tornado City was at least forty times the length. But Timothy was just glad he had arrived when he wanted to. When it came to the tournaments, they went on all day and night so it was not like there would be a lack of tournaments for him to enter just because of a long line to wait to get into the city, let alone the possible line to enter into the coliseum. However, rumor was that entrants would be able to enter a VIP type line since it was them who brought in the constant flow of funds.

After waiting for two long hours, Timothy had finally entered into the city. He wanted to enter and check out the inside of the coliseum, but first he actually felt the need to make his merchant group a verified one so he headed to the Stone Kingdom's government building which had a small line out the door.

Timothy felt like killing someone since he had to deal with waiting in so many lines, but he was calmed down by Master Sei. It could not be helped, Tornado City was a place where countless people came to Stone Kingdom specifically to visit. He would be treated much better if he had a proper background, but all he could do was bite his tongue and declare in his mind that soon he would no longer have to deal with such matters like this.

It did not take very long for Timothy to get his company verified since every human kingdom had the same paperwork to fill out to make things run smoother for its citizens. Since he had a copy of what he filled out at the government building back in Bark Kingdom, all Timothy had to do was wait for the badges and verification paperwork. Master Sei could not stop laughing because even when he was done handling these matters, Timothy still had a pissed off look on his face.

Fortunately, the employees at the coliseum treated him much better once he told them that he was looking to enter one of the many tournaments. They quickly allowed him entry and gave him a small badge to wear so that another employee could help him choose which tournament to sign up for.

It was rather comical, but even though Timothy was only an Elementary stage cultivator, he was still treated as if he was a peerless immortal. Suddenly his entire demeanor changed and he was back to his usual self as he linked up with an employee who would be assisting him through the process.

Due to the sheer number of tournaments and experts who would arrive on a daily basis, Tornado City hired many local individuals to act as personal helpers for each individual expert who were signing up and competing in tournaments. However, each employee still would handle upwards of ten different contestants at a single time so they tried to urge each expert to name everything they needed right away so that the employees could handle others once done.

The coliseum was under constant construction, but the fifth floor was dedicated to house contestants for free. There were upwards of ten thousand small rooms, and whenever a contestant would head to compete in a tournament, the room would be quickly cleaned and another expert would wait for the next tournament that they themselves were competing in.

Timothy was rather content with the room he chose and he even saw that the tournament he chose to enter would be starting in less than eight hours. So he decided to begin cultivating as he awaited for someone to come and escort him to the arena in which the tournament he was in would be taking place.

Timothy chose to enter a tournament that did not allow any weapons or equipment. The reason was because he was not only confident in his high level techniques, but also because he felt that it would be easier to defeat weaker opponents. He was not at the peak of the Elementary stage, but there were many who were even weaker than him who chose to try and compete for a prize.

Each entry price for a tournament that catered to those under the Intermediate stage of cultivation was a total of fifty gold pieces and depending on the amount of entries, just making it through into the second round would net said entrants a small profit. It was also possible to receive an even larger profit depending on who was betting and the amounts. Such bets would act as small bonuses for said contestants.

From his calculations, there were no peak Elementary stage dual cultivators, and since he was just under that as one, it was possible that Timothy was a black horse for the tournament he chose to enter. Therefore, if he was confident enough in his abilities, he would actually bet on himself while competing for a chance to earn more.
