Chapter 107

"Before you head out to see your friend, I would recommend that you take some time to check out a nearby area. Apparently, many cultivators from commoners to those who are direct descendants of large clans are heading there in search for treasure. Luckily, it is not too far from our Fog Village and is actually on the way to the city you aim to visit. Who knows, if you are fortunate enough, you will be able to get a profit from just simply attending?" Cole told Timothy as he slowly counted the massive amount of wealth in the storage ring that Timothy just gave to him.

After showing Timothy on a map of Stone Kingdom where the groups of cultivators were gathering, Cole excused himself from the room because he wanted to begin this new task of his as soon as he possibly could. As he looked at the map, Timothy felt that heading out to the area would indeed be at least a little beneficial, since he could always just meet other cultivators located in Stone Kingdom and possibly even hire a few under his employment.

He was not willing to hire too powerful experts for his personal protection, because that would make it harder for him to grow over time as a cultivator. However, hiring a handful of Elementary stage cultivators or even one or two Intermediate stage cultivators would still be doable. Plus, if he was able to flaunt some of his wealth around when so many others were around, it may help him increase his reputation even if it was just about him being a money bag.

In the world he lived in, Timothy knew that your personal strength mattered more than anything else, but if one was able to gain an enormous amount of wealth, even the weak could turn over an entire kingdom if they so well wished. The only reason that majority of the human kingdoms had royal families, was because such a system did work the best considering that immortals cared very little or not at all for worldly possessions.

Heading out of the village at last, Timothy chose to leave behind everything that he felt was not essential. In other words, he only brought with him two sets of weapons and armor as well as a handful of other survival based items along with all of the gold pieces he had. There was no telling what he would find, and he wanted to be able to have enough room within his storage rings to fit everything that he came across which could be cloned and sold for profit or even more useful items or artifacts.

Since the rumor was that at the place he was heading towards were many experts setting up camp in order to explore the area, it meant that it was possible for the area to have more than just simple treasures. For it to attract so many others to drop everything and head over quickly, it must have meant that it could have even been an ancestor's tomb. An ancestor's tomb was more than just a simple graveyard, if the expert had a high enough cultivation stage once they died, a portal could be open to their own small world where an inheritance was located.

To receive the inheritance of a fallen ancestor that was an immortal, meant that it was entirely possible for the lucky cultivator to also one day reach a similar level simply by following the inheritance. Usually, an inheritance from an ancestor would include a set of techniques along with a training manual which they themselves followed and were able to come up with during their time in the world of the living. Even for Timothy, an inheritance would improve his foundation by quite a bit, even if it was flawed enough to not allow the ancestor to reach a higher stage after reaching immortality.

Either way, to Timothy it was worth exploring, especially since an ancestor's tomb also had many items and treasures hidden within that the ancestor had traveled the world with. Treasures and items that an ancestor level expert felt were good enough to take up space, meant that to a cultivator such as himself, the treasures and items would seem to be close to if not priceless. Since he had Master Sei by his side, Timothy did not need an inheritance, but if he could get his hands on even just one priceless item or treasure, he would be able to clone and sell it at a very large price!

"You sure are heading over there quickly. Are you afraid that you will fall very behind the others who are already in the area if you do not make it in time?" Master Sei asked Timothy as three days passed by and Timothy still showed no signs of stopping even to simply rest. Luckily, Timothy was able to find a sweet spot of sorts, because he was able to keep a rather swift speed, without feeling like his endurance was fading.

"If it is an ancestor's tomb which is more or less the best scenario for you, there is no way for you to fall behind the rest. It is only when enough potential inheritors are present, that the small world would open up. I am willing to bet that even when you arrive, it will still not open up for some time. You should begin carefully planning out what kind of group you will want to join to enter the ancestor's tomb with, to increase your chance of both survival and ability to get some loot in the process."

"There may be upwards of one hundred different potential groups for you to find, but each one will come with a particular impact on your future. I would recommend staying close to someone that showcases the highest of backgrounds, so even if you do fail to obtain any treasures, at least you would have built a small bridge towards their clan or organization. This will allow you to make up for such a loss in the name of increasing your merchant group's influence within Stone Kingdom" Master Sei explained to Timothy before heading back once more.
