" Kisuke try and loosen your body more. You need to feel sort of limp so you can quickly react to an incoming attack. Tessai try and learn how to fight if your opponent gets too close kido won't be able to save you. Pick up a sword or something. Yoruichi, stop relying on Hakudo and Hoho, ask Kisuke and Tessai to teach you zanjutsu and kido."
"Ok, dad," Yoruichi said sarcastically. "You worry too much about us, you'll be gone for only a short period of time. We can handle ourselves, we've been doing it for most of our lives."
"Just don't act like idiots. I don't want to come back and hear that you've destroyed the mansion or something. It would come out of my paycheck."
"You old miser, get going, you'll be late."
"I'll see you guys soon. That is if I survive." I laughed.
--------------------
"Yasushi! When was the last time I saw you?" She said as she grabbed my head and pulled it into her chest.
"It was two days ago actually. I had to deliver something to you? Did you hit your head somewhere?" I said, however, the words were muffled as my face was being squashed.
"Ah, as funny as ever aren't you. You and I going to have a great time. Going into a world of unknowns with my best friend." She said as we walked to the senkaimon.
A few members of the Kido corps were waiting for us to open the gate. While I could open my own Senkaimon, we had to take more official sources of transportation.
"Best friend? You definitely hit your head. Just because you invite me over for lunch makes us best friends?" I asked.
"In your case it does. You have no one else to call a friend so yes, yes it does."
"I'll ignore that insult and compliment you on your logic."
Captain Hikifune was an interesting person. I first met her during my 4th year when I had learned the name of my zanpakuto. It was hard to ignore a pink-haired woman standing outside your room waiting for you. She bugged me for the rest of the day, asking me about the nature of my zanpakuto and what not. It was very odd for a captain, albeit a new one, to openly talk to a student of the academy.
Our relationship was very much like 2 friends instead of a Shinigami and their superior officer. She helped me and I helped her. We cut out the formalities that I had been so used to in the soul society.
"How's your sleep been? You keep wandering the Rukongai?"
"Haven't slept in a decade. Memories are the worst form of punishment you know? Somethings just cannot be forgotten. But I've been better than ever."
"Stop being cryptic. One of these day Captain Unohana will just knock you out for good."
"If she wanted to do that she would have done it already. I think she enjoys my company."
"That's a surprise. I wonder if she's bored about your discussions about the separation of church and state. I'd have banned you from my division if you brought that stuff to my division I'd have banned you from entering."
"I'm more exciting than you think."
We finally reached the Senkaimon after a few minutes of walking. The two members of the Kido Corps were ready to open it.
They were as mysterious as ever. They wore masks which covered their faces and went down all the way to their feet. It only showed a bit of their eyes.
We were standing somewhere near the barracks of the 13th division. It made sense as they were the ones who used the senkaimon the most. They went to the world of the living the most.
"Please wait one moment." One of the corps members said.
There was a square block with an empty middle. He walked towards and took out his sword. He stabbed the air and twisted it like it was a key.
Thhe empty middle of the square block disappeared and two doors appeared in its place.
"The hell butterfly will guide you to where you need to go to open the Garganta. The equipment is there so you should have no troubles opening it."
So they had sent people to go and set up the requirements. How nice of the central 46.
"Thank you."
"Please maintain safe travel. Try and not end up in the dangai."
"Thank you for the warning." Captain Hikifune said.
-----------------
Once we travelled through the senkaimon we arrived at a desert sort of area. There were huge rock formations which were littered around the area. In two of those rocks were two wooden posts which were stuck in them. The two posts were completely parallel to each other.
"Wait one second, Captain."
I jumped on top of one of the wooden posts and placed my zanpakutos tip right on top of it.
"My right hand is the stone that bridges worlds. My left hand is the blade that binds reality. The black-haired shepherd is hung from a chair. Stratus clouds come, and I strike down the ibis."
The kido spell to opening a Garganta was incredibly secret and I only found out about due to the expedition being green-lighted. I didn't think it existed, to be honest. But to think there was a spell that connected the human world directly to Hueco Mundo was interesting.
A blue light covered my hands and spread on to the wooden posts. Once it completely covered the post a light shot of wooden post I was standing on and went on to the other post. The other post was now covered in the same blue glow. It created a line in the middle which connected them
The line that was made in the middle now split open and tore the air to reveal a black void.
"This Garganta will lead us to Hueco Mundo. We'll have to use the Reishi to make footpaths as there's no other way to walk." I said after jumped down to my original spot.
"Who would have thought there's an artificial way to open up a Garganta. Wonder why they hid this."
"I actually think it's to maintain the balance of souls. If there was a way that was available to all Shinigami to get to Hueco Mundo wouldn't they just kill too many hollows? Hollows are needed for the balance of souls." I theorised.
"That makes sense. Well anyway, let's begin."
The first expedition into Hueco Mundo in 850 years, has officially begun.
