Naiah's POV

"Do you know that this chain, is my special friend?" She asked, she's crazy, that chain is not even a living person.

"Is that so?" I asked her, mocking her. It's not my concern if that is her friend! I also have a unique friend too, and that is Leon. Fiercer and better than her chain, geez!

"Yup, and let me tell you a secret," she said, she gestured me to leaned on so I did. I smirked as she whispered something in my ear. Tsk, tsk, this girl has a nerve, huh?

"There will be an underground battle.  Tomorrow night, interested? You might get an answer that you really wanted to hear"

"Underground battle?"

"Yup, and if you are interested, might as well tell you the details once you've decided"

"And the secret?" I asked, she smirked as she looked at me in my eyes.

"It's still a secret, of course"

"Tsk, this underground battle, does it really concerns me?"

"Yup, just like, what happened years ago. Wanna know what is it?" I remain silent. I waited for her to continue.

"Let's say....the one with a car, a porche to be exact, with a plate number, A2Z 4085"

"How come you know this?" I asked, still shocked at what I heard.

"Simple, the person at the other car was....my mother" she emphasized, I gasped. But later on, I fell silent.

"Seems like you've been investigating that case ever since"

"Hmm? Maybe, maybe not. Who knows?"

"What do you know?". I asked, I am eager to know if she knows where my mom was. Though I considered her dead, I'm still hoping she isn't.

"Oh, hey...not so fast.." I glared at her but she just smirks.

"Let's make a deal. Don't tell anyone all you heard from me. And we're good, besides...I did ask other people who have a connection with my mom, with this" she put a wide space between us and stared at me. I shooked my head. If that's the case, I am not only the one who is now on her hands. Clever, eh? But well, she's reckless and dumb. What if, one of us dares to break his promise and turn the tables at the end? Tsk, she's not being careful. She's not thinking about those possibilities.

"Rest assured. But mind you, you can't just tell anyone that secret. Who knows, you've been on their hands, ready to smashed you until you'll bleed to death. So..." I trailed off, her expression doesn't even change. She's tough and clever.

"Just a piece of advice, protect what's yours as they can't. Hide what's needed to hide"

"And next! The battle of Sinners and our new challenger, Hell's Duo!"

I glanced at the girl beside me when the announcer called us by our name. "Are you scared?" I teased her, she glared at me but then she smirks.

"Scared? Tsk, what a word. They should be" she said and pointed at the two girls in the arena. We're still at the upper part. We are not yet moving our ass out.

"Then, let's go," I said. I lead the way as I continue to ignore their whispers and nonsense conversations.

"Now, we are here to witness the battle between Sinners and the newbie. Let's see which group will win" the announcer said. I rolled my eyes, they are really looking down on us. They don't want to witness such a brutal battle, do they? Tsk.

"As for the duration of the fight, one must defeat each other in 10 minutes. A timer would tell us who will win this battle. And seems like they are now exchanging their messages before they fight"

"Please to meet you, I am Sin and she's Kanner" I glanced at the girl in front of me. Her expressions can tell you that she is a serious person, not to mention, her tone and her voice was as serious as it is. Their title seems a bit funny. Sin plus Kanner turns to Sinners. Geez!

"Why bother to greet them, sister? They soon would turn to a loser like those previous ones" I raised a brow at that. The way she uttered those words and her tone? Who is it again? Ah, Kanner. Her tongue is sharp, though she thinks higher of herself. I shooked my head as I remember Charie, she too, acts the same. And what did it turn her into? A total loser.

"Your tongue is as sharp as a knife. I give you that" I tilted my head a bit as I glanced at Quenda(kenda). I hissed silently as I shooked my head.

"I tell you, not all people are the same. You can't tell which is which, so let's lessen your arrogance, shall we?" both have their tongue, sharpened. I wonder what will happen with these two. They both can't lower their pride and can't humble themselves as they should be, as a fighter. Geez!

I was about to say something when Sin, took the latter.

"Stop the nonsense," I thought she was going to add something in that but she continued to be silent as she is. I smirked as I stood up straight.

"I'm Draine, she's Quenda, please to meet you too" I introduced as well as I bowed my head a bit as it was a part of an introduction.

"May we have a good fight" she said. With her sword in her right hand, the blade was facing down, she gripped the handle using her left one and bowed together with it. Her sister doesn't have a choice but to do it too. After all, it was part of swordsmanship. We also did the same. I nudged Quenda's side as she was still standing beside me and keep rolling her eyes.

The truth was, a sword is not her expertise. Knives are better on her hands, she said. Though, their weapons are both have their sharp blade, like their mouth.

"May we have a good fight" I said as we took a step backward to have space at the center. They also took theirs.

"It seems like they are now ready to have their fight! I will not take it any longer. Let the battle..." The people around the arena started cheering their bets.

"Begin!"

"Let's get it on, bitch!" I glanced at Quenda who said it to Kanner.

"Die! You bitch!" I took a step away from their sudden attacks on each other. But then, I stopped midways when I felt like I bumped into someone. I looked at Sin, who I bumped to. She also took a step away from the two.

"Who do you think will win?" I asked as I watched the two. Kanner has a double sword on her, and Quenda with her knives.

"Fate will decide" I looked at her again. Weirdly, we are having a good conversation amidst the chaos that was happening between the two. I mean, yeah, we're in a fight and still, we have the time to converse with nonsense.

"Kanner is aggressive. She attacks without thinking about all the possible loopholes. She's just focusing on defeating her opponent. Though she's good, not enough" I commented as I watched them fight with each other. As you would notice, you can see a lot of loopholes within her attacks, but the good thing was, she was able to mend it, first hand.

"Quenda is fast and has calculated moves. She easily gets to see her opponent's moves and loopholes. She's observing her opponent's moves and strategies without knowing she can be easily attacked within a second. Though she's fast and calculative, it's not enough" we both glanced at each other and just shooked our heads. Why are we having a conversation about those two, anyway? Geez!

"They both have the skills," I said. We glanced at the two, they are both panting and wounded as well. I can tell that they are on the same level. They are....

"But not good enough," we said in unison.

Suddenly, the tension between us started to grow.

"Now, how about, let's see each other's skills?" she asked as we let enough space between us.

"Okay then" I agreed. Her light aura when I was talking with her earlier, disappeared. Her serious aura is back. But I sensed that it was more serious than before. I smirked at her.

"As you said....

Fate will decide"
