Damn, Libertad?

" Stop trying to hide Charles." I peaked over to see Aiden walking towards me. As our eyes met, his eyebrows immediately furrowed with worriedness. He came and sat next to me on the floor.

" I don't know what all is happening. But it is definitely a lot for a 17-year-old kid. Don't think about it too much. Fred will bring everything under control. He knows how to tame wildfires like this."

" Thanks. I really appreciate it." I smiled at him.

" They never really told me anything about this place. Ever since I got here, my life has really just been fucked up."

" Charles, you need to understand something this place is very complicated. Even I don't properly know about everything that happens here. But I'll explain to you what I know."

" Don't give me too much information at once. I can guarantee you I am going to forget ninety-nine percent of things you will tell me." I laughed.

" The organization that runs everything here is called the Libertad. It means freedom. The government has been controlling everything. This is not a democracy, Charles. It's a dictatorship. They treat everyone like robots. Barely giving anyone liberty to practice their fundamental rights. Libertad has been striving actively for the past decade to fight this monopoly. But this will come to an end soon now that you are here." Aiden smiled at me.

" What do you mean?"

" You'll know when the right time comes, Charles. For now, just trust Fred. He knows what he is doing." Aiden tightly hugged me and got up. He offered his hand to me, which I gladly accepted. Maybe this place isn't going to be bad.
