Evelyn and Carter sat in the dimly lit waiting room of the hospital, a lot more composed from before, thinking rationally on how to get the money for the surgery.
"It's about a million dollars." Carter said while holding his head in his hands. "I have about 55000 dollars savings in my bank account. What about you?" He looked expectedly towards Evelyn.
"I have about 32000 dollars in my savings. I will try to get my salary in advance. Mr. Harrison would understand the situation. And then I will try to take loan from the company." She sniffed. It was a lot of money. And their saving weren't enough not even a quarter of what they have to pay. Her head was about to burst even about thinking about it.
"I will try to arrange some from my friends as well." He said while nodding his head. They both knew it was not possible for them have that much but they will go to any extent for their mom.
"It's almost midnight. I should take you home. You have office tomorrow." Her brother said as he stood up to take her home. She nodded and followed him.

As soon as Travis dropped Evelyn at the hospital he received a call from his father demanding him to come home as they need to discuss something important. But he wasn't in his right mind to face his family. He was again insulted by that girl and he was raging. He needed to cool-off. He quickly dialed for Tessa.
"Hey baby girl! Are you free right now? I am coming over." He rasped with a smirk.
"No Travis! I am not free tonight actually my mom's here." She replied.
"Damn! Can you come over to my condo?"
"No actually I need to assist mom with some work tonight. Sorry!" She replied guiltily.
"Fine!" He growled and threw the phone on the passenger seat.
'Maybe I should go to a club, have few drinks and find any one night stand there.' He thought and raced towards the club.
He entered the club in his full glory. Everyone knew him there as he was the regular customer. All the girls already started ogling over him. He strode towards the bar ordering a light drink as he couldn't afford to get drunk because he had to meet his father after this.
He was sipping his drink when a blonde came to sit beside him. She was wearing a short sparkly dress which was showing a lot more cleavage then what is decent.
"Such a handsome boy all alone, on this beautiful night. What a pity. Tch!" She suggestively traced her fingers up his arm
'Whore!' He thought as he smirked.
"And such a pretty girl all alone?" He flirted back with a slight smirk.
"But I am not alone anymore, am I? You are here to give me company." She smirked back with the same intensity.
Things got heated quickly and they were both completely aroused.
"Want to get out?" He rasped. Although he knew the answer but he needed to see her beg.
"PLEASE!" She kneaded his chest, utterly sexually frustrated.
They reached a hotel nearby. The girl was quick to make her advancements by taking his shirt off. They tumbled inside the room and soon they were both entangled on the bed.

Travis lay bare chested panting heavily after his strenuous activity. The girl lay totally drained beside him. As soon as he caught his breath he got up to get dressed.
"Where are you going leaving me like this?" The girl grunted as she tried to sit up collecting the sheets on her body to hide her nakedness.
"Home." He replied emotionless as he pulled up his pants.
"What kind of a man are you? Do you have no decency? You are leaving me here alone when I gave myself to you. Bastard!" She screamed.
"I didn't force you. You asked for it. Here is your payment." He threw a wad of cash on the bed beside her. Her eyes widened looking at the amount.
"Who are you?" She stuttered quietly as she looked between the boy standing before her and the cash on her bed.
"I am Travis Harrison. Son of Bennett Harrison." He replied as he moved around the messy room to collect his belongings.
"As in the son of the CEO of Harrison Corps." She visibly gulped.
"Yes." He replied nonchalantly as he moved towards the door to leave. He turned the door knob and stopped as he realized something. He faced the girl again with a sweet dazzling smile.
"And yeah thank you for giving me a great time." He lightly waved at her and left, leaving the girl petrified on the bed.

When he arrived at his home it was pretty late. He thought his dad would be already asleep and he could sleep in and have whatever discussion his dad want to have with him tomorrow but he was wrong when he saw his dad sitting in the sitting room wide awake.
"Dad! Why are you up?" He asked astonished.
"Waiting for you, what else? I told you I needed to discuss something with you. It's important." His dad retorted grumpily.
Travis had a bad feeling about this. He knew he wouldn't like it whatever his dad would say but he still he sat down on the couch to listen to what his father wanted to say.
"How's work at office son?" He knew his father would start casually and then drop the bomb.
"Fine. I went to the meeting with Mr. Lee today for the Transport project." He replied uninterested as he fell back on the couch to get comfortable.
"I heard Ms. Evelyn assisted you on the presentation. How did she do?" His father asked eagerly.
"Yes she did assist me." He spat but he quickly calmed himself. "And yes she was quite impressive for her first time. I am positive we will get this project."
"Good. She's a hardworking girl. Do you remember Charles my university friend?" He asked to which Travis nodded lazily. "He referred her. She needed a job and we were hiring at that time so I decided to help her out. Poor girl is going through a very rough time right now. Her father died some months back and her mother is in a coma." He shook his head sympathetically.
"Dad! Get to the point. I know you didn't call me here just to discuss her pathetic pitiful life." He said frustrated with all the buildup tension.
"You want to know why I called you here. Okay so listen. I am done with your immature behavior. I do not want to interfere in your private life but your scandals are ruining my image." He cried out. controlling his anger, he took a deep breath. "Tell me do you love someone?"
"No Dad I do not 'do' love." He rolled his eyes as he fell back on the couch again, totally done with his father's bullshit. It was the same every time. He was used to of it. His dad would ask about his love interest, he would reject and then his dad would get mad and scold him and after that everything will go back to how it was going.
"Great! Because I am arranging your marriage with Charles' daughter; Beatrice. She is very pretty and petite girl. She might be able to control you."
"What?" He shot up. "Dad, are you crazy? I can not just marry anyone. And more importantly I do not even want to get married."
"You are 28 already. That is it. I would not accept your denial. I have already made up my mind." His father growled.
He knew he could not change his father's verdict so he decided to leave. He stormed out of the house enraged and defeated.
'But a man is not finished when he is defeated. He is finished when he quits. And he sure knew he was not going to quit this soon.'
