The End of their Beginning (Part 2)
BOOOOOM!!!
'Direct hit!' Elric thought as he saw his attack land on the struggling monster, creating a mist of dust.
Unable to confirm if it was enough to kill the giant goblin, Elric stood still and waited for the dust to settle., revealing an empty hole on the ground.
Suddenly the massive goblin appeared in front of Elric and had swung its right arm back that held a wooden club, and was about to smash him from where he stood.
He couldn't activate and charge an attack strong enough in time, so Elric crouched to touch the ground and activated a skill.
[Transmuter Skill Activated]

[Vitality - 450/1276]
A pillar of stone erupted from the ground, under the goblin, with extreme speed. The hideous beast got hurled up in the air and slammed its gigantic body into the ground. However, Elric knew that this was not enough to kill it.
He hurriedly charged an attack once more while the beast was still down on the ground and in pain from its fall.

Pure Enliven compressed into a spear-like shape once more. Elric poured more of his Enliven to make it more powerful than the last. Making sure it would kill or at least hurt the monster.
The beast groaned as it stood back up and glowed yellow once more.
'It activated a skill again? Yellow, that's an Amplifiers' skill.' Elric observed its actions. No one has ever heard of a monster using skills before, at least not to his knowledge.
As it began to sprint towards Elric with speed amplified from the skill it had activated, Elric aimed his and quickly fired the [Enegry Spear] at the rushing beast.
"OOOWWAAAAAAHH!!!" The goblin roared as it braced itself from Elric's [Energy Spear]. It swung its arm once more and swatted the attack that was heading towards its giant body.
'How!? That contained more than half of my remaining Enliven!' Elric blurted inside his head in disbelief.
'Am I still too weak!?' His thoughts now flooded his mind as he panicked. He was running out of options. The strongest attack that he could create was swatted like a bug in front of him.
He crouched and touched the ground as he created multiple stone walls to stop or slow the goblin down, who was still coming right at him. It seemed to not affect the raging beast and kept picking up its pace.
It roared out as it blasted through wall after wall of stone and kept increasing its speed.
He stood up with the walls behind him and kept firing [Energy Spear]s at the goblin until it was about to reach him and jumped up to avoid the impact.
The goblin once again smashed into the walls. Elric had no choice but to face it since all of his ranged attacks weren't working.
He unsheathed his sword whilst still in mid-air and pointed it towards the ground as he fell headfirst. Using the force of his fall, he spun around to create more momentum and maximize as much damage he could make.
The steel sword coupled with the force of his weight proved to be effective as he slashed the goblin's back.
"RRRRAAAAAAHHH!!!!!" The goblin giant screamed in pain.
Elric rolled to break the momentum of his plunge but as soon as he turned around, the goblin was about to hit him with its weapon.
THUD! CRACK!
Klein's twin shield shattered as he blocked the brunt of the strength of the goblin's attack. He had managed to stop and quickly activated it again to coat his hands and formed another pair of shields.
Klein activated his skill and slammed two slabs of stone on the ground and tried to smash the giant goblin which only pinned it down for the time being as it struggled to break free.
"I don't know how long I can hold it, Elric! I'm almost out of Enliven!" Klein yelled out.
"We've done what you've ordered. We finished all the goblins and secured the women. All that's left is this one." Alice reported as she stood behind Elric with her blades.
"I can help you distract it, but I don't think my attacks are going to wound it." She added.
"My attacks barely work either," Elric admitted.
"Then we'll wear it down until it's exhausted and clobber it until it does work!" Klein suggested while still holding back the green giant.
"We're not going to last if we do that! I'm almost at my limit as well. We have to create a strong enough attack to kill it." Elric explained.
"Alice, you go and distract it by throwing stone knives at it from a distance. Klein, you come with me and follow me from behind. We'll create enough momentum and on my signal, you [Alter] the ground at the exact moment to propel me towards that beast. Let's go!" Elric instructed and quickly ran with Klein behind him and went around the giant goblin.
Alice pulled out multiple rocks and [Alter]ed them and repeatedly threw them at goblin to distract it from her friends.
She circled the green monster and kept assaulting it while Elric created distance for his run-up.
Elric and Klein stopped at a good distance and started to bolt towards the dumb beast who was distracted by Alice.
He ran as fast as he could with his sword still unsheathed and ready to strike. Elric quickly yelled out.
"NOW KLEIN!"
Klein quickly stopped and crouched to touch the ground.
The ground started to shake and a pillar started to blast out as Elric's right foot made contact with it, propelling himself with great force.

Elric fired a skill with almost everything that he could muster to increase his speed. He spun around once more and flew parallel to the ground towards the rampaging monster who was trying to hit the elusive Alice.
He was about to penetrate the green monster until it suddenly turned around to dodge and fronted its weapon to strike the speeding Elric.
BOOOM!!
Elric destroyed the gigantic club that the goblin used and blasted right through it.
The goblin was feigning ignorance and pretended, only to strike Elric at the right time.
Barely slowing down Elric's momentum from blasting through the weapon, he could not stop and eventually rammed at the cave walls.
Elric collapsed down on the ground with blood all over his body. He could not take the impact. Fighting to stay conscious, he saw Alice and Klein try to help him.
"ELRIC!!" Alice called out and turned her back from the enemy.
The goblin saw this chance and punched Alice, hurling her to the wall with great force, instantly losing consciousness.
Blood dripped from her head and into her face as she fell to the ground, defenseless. The goblin did not stop despite Alice's collapse and swung its fist once more to pound the helpless teen.
Klein quickly ran to try and protect Alice from the next attack. He quickly activated his skill to make a wall to protect Alice but could not make it strong enough.
He was out of Enliven. Desperation crept inside Klein's mind as he shielded Alice with his own body and took the force of the attack that slammed him down on the ground.
Elric witnessed his friends fall to the ground and be assaulted.
'Stand up!! Come on!!!' His thoughts screamed for him to muster the strength and protected his dying friends as scenes from the unforgettable night flashed once more in his mind.
The fear of death came looming in front of him once again as he watched helplessly from the side, unable to do anything.
'NOT ANYMORE!!!' His thoughts kept blaring in desperation to muster the strength to no longer experience the pain that he felt that night.
'COME ON!!!!! COME ON!!!!' Elric lifted his limp hand and aimed at the goblin.
'I don't care if I use up everything! I just need to save them!'
He felt power started to surge from his hand as a pulse of energy slowly enveloped his eyes from his pupils, turning them as black as midnight.
Energy, once again compressed at the front of his palm and suddenly rocks began to form at the center and formed the shape of a large spear. Compressing more and more rocks, turning into a massive spearhead, Elric felt the power that surged inside his body leave as he released the skill and fired it with great force.
