Chapter 29

//3RD PERSON'S POV//

"MORNING MONIKKA!" Hinata chirped as he ran up to Monikka. Monikka smiled awkwardly and glared at the people looking at their way.

"You don't have to scream all the time, you know… Where are your other friends?" Monikka asked, wanting to be left alone.

"They had something to do. Are you okay with me hanging out with you?" Hinata asked, more of a demand. Monikka nodded her head slowly not wanting to disappoint anymore people today because her mood was not good at the time.

"Why don't we go to the rooftop instead? It's more peaceful there." Monikka suggested, Hinata agreed.

Once they made their way up there, Coraline was sitting there already, doodling on her notebook. She looked up to the sound to see Monikka and Hinata.

Coraline waved at them and Monikka greeted her.

"Hinata, this is Coraline. Coraline, Hinata. Coraline is mute, so please be more patient around her." Monikka said jokingly and Coraline threw a glare at her and smiled at him.

Things were awkward for a minute as Coraline stared at Hinata and Hinata looked at Monikka.

"So where's Cody?" Monikka asked. Coraline mouthed 'On the way' to her back. Monikka nodded.

"Who's Cody?" Hinata asked. Monikka explained that he is a friend of hers.

Hinata thought she was a lonely person, but it turned out she had more friends than he thought. Which is certainly not a part of his plan.

Hinata watched as Monikka smoothly talked to Coraline despite her being mute. That made Hinata jealous. He balled his fist until his knuckles turned white, resisting the urge to do something he might regret.

It has been long since he felt this way. He either hated it or loved it. One thing for sure, he wanted Monikka all for himself.

//TIME SKIP//

"It's sad Cody can't come today." Monikka said and Coraline just nodded.

Meanwhile Hinata was watching them from afar, his eyes shooting daggers at Coraline. Suddenly he felt a hand touch his shoulder and he was about to attack but Jace stopped him.

"Woah calm down, it's me Jace, from volleyball practice." Jace said, calming Hinata down.

Hinata sighed and told him not to do that again before he got seriously hurt. Jace just laughed.

"Why are you hiding here?" Jace asked and looked to where Hinata was looking snd saw Monikka and Coraline.

"None of your business." Hinata said in a mean way.

"You're not stalking Monikka right?" Jace asked.

"I said it was none of your business." Hinata hissed and tried to shoo him away.

"You better not do anything to them." Jace said angrily, ignoring what Hinata said.

Hinata ignored him and Jace held Hinata's collar. Hinata gasped and punched Jace. Now everyone is looking at them.

It's a good thing Monikka and Coraline took off.

Jace punched him back until he fell down and Hinata kicked Jace's foot.

The fight got worse until the vice principal saw what happened and stopped the fight.

Hinata was sent back to his team and Jace got detention.

But it wasn't the end.

//TIME SKIPS//

It has been a week since Monikka last saw Hinata and she was having a nice time.

Monikka was walking her way home and saw someone.

Hinata came back to Monikka and Monikka greeted him.

Hinata said nothing and kept walking to Monikka. The tension was thick and Monikka stood there awkwardly.

"What's up, Hinata?" Monikka asked.

"Don't you wanna know?" Hinata asked.

"Know what?" Monikka asked in confusion.

"Where have I been? What have I been doing? Have you ever tried to contact me? I thought I was your friend!" Hinata shouted. It was a good thing there was no one around them at the moment.

"Hinata calm down, I don't have your phone number-" Hinata didn't give Monikka any chance to explain, took out a knife and ran towards her.

Monikka freaked out but managed to dodge the attack by holding Hinata's arms.

"What the heck are you doing?! Stop it!" Monikka screamed.

"I hate it when you're with other people! You're MINE!" Hinata said as he pushed his knife harder towards Monikka.

Monikka pushed his arms away and ran towards her apartment and slammed the door. Monikka heard banging from the other side of the door, Hinata threatening Monikka to open the door.

"YOU'LL REGRET DOING THIS TO ME, MONIKKA. I AM THE ONLY PERSON WHO UNDERSTANDS YOU THE MOST." Hinata shouted.

"YOU BARELY KNOW ME FOR A MONTH!" Monikka shouted back.

Suddenly the banging stopped and Monikka peeked through the door. Hinata was nowhere to be found.

Monikka sighed and went back to sleep, trying to calm herself down.

//THE NEXT DAY//

"Hey, Cody!" Monikka greeted Cody and Cody waved back.

"Hey, sorry for not coming yesterday. I had something to do." Cody rubbed his back.

"It's fine." Monikka said as she walked to her locker and Cody followed her.

Monikka opened her locker only to see an unfamiliar note laying. Monikka looked at it in confusion and asked Cody if it was from him. Cody shook his head.

"Open it, Mon." Cody suggested and Monikka unfolded the note.

*CHECK THE BASEMENT <3* The note said. Monikka and Cody exchanged glances.

"Maybe it's a surprise?" Cody asked. "I don't think it's your birthday this month though."

"Because it isn't." Monikka said. "Let's go."

Cody and Monikka rushed towards the basement and the hall was still as quiet as ever.

They opened the door and gasped at what they saw.

Coraline lay on the floor, holding her bleeding stomach and looked at Monikka and Cody in fear.

"CORALINE!" Cody shouted and ran towards her. Coraline kept shaking her head as she looked at Monikka's way.

Monikka heard the door closing and she looked back to see Hinata, holding a knife, smiling like a maniac.

"Surprise! I said you would regret doing it to me, Monikka." Hinata chriped.
