Cain was an ordinary boy born and raised in the mountains of northern California.

If you exclude the part mentioning that he hasn’t actually talked to his family in years. He lives as a ghost in his own home.

That changed on a perfectly normal afternoon, when Cain arrived home after a long day at school, and found his mother preparing a herbal tea. It was odd, he will admit, but 
he hadn’t seen his mother this active in a long time.

It was on this day that Cain would taste his first poison.

The warm and bitter tea flowed down his throat, into his esophagus, and finally rested in his stomach. Not long after, Cain started feeling an itch deep in his throat, urging him to vomit. Painful throbs started to echo in his head as his vision twisted and blurred into spirals and swirls. It wasn't until too late that Cain noticed something was seriously wrong. When he finally closed his eyes, he realized how fickle life really is.

That was where it should have ended for Cain.

However, when Cain opened his eyes, he realized he wasn't back home in his cluttered and messy room. There was no dusty tan wallpaper but beautiful paintings hanging from light blue walls with white crowning. He wasn't lying on his bed, the one with a single pillow and his favorite comforter. Instead, he lay in an elegantly made bed with silk blankets and many, many pillows around him.

Hello! This is Kaiser, the author of Nettle's Advent,

I hope you all will enjoy my first novel just as much as I enjoy writing it. This is my first time writing a novel, and English is my first language but grammar mistakes are prone to happen. I welcome all help! If you come across any grammar mistakes or a sentence doesn't flow right please leave a comment or review. Hello everyone! Okay, so basically this is a tab more for me than you readers, but feel free to look back here for missed information and such. Think of it like a Logbook.


- 1) To let you all know of any up coming events.


I am a pretty busy person outside of writing, and I am currently in school and preparing for college so updates will be faster on weekends than weekdays. Also, expect shorter chapters on weekdays (around 600-800 words). Weekends will probably have longer chapters (between 800-1500 words, maybe longer if I am inspired). If I can't make any deadlines, I


Currently, my goal is to get 2 chapters out a week. One on Monday and one on Sunday. However, this is prone to adjustments. Sometimes I might post more but never less. This new schedule will start next week, 12/6/2020 - 12/7/2020.


12/7/2020 - I have decided to not post any updates throughout this week. Instead, I will stock up on chapters 6-10 and release them all at once.
