Chapter 9

Aubrey's POV

Honestly, I didn't know what was happening to me. My mind constantly said Mike. But my heart sang a different song when Alexis was around. I could literally feel myself wanting her.

Once dinner was ready, I helped my mother set the table and waited for everyone to join us. Truthfully, I was dying to see Alexis. I just didn't know what to say to her.

Well, what was I supposed to say? I enjoyed last night but we can't be together because I have a boyfriend? No. It just wouldn't be right. Or fair to her.

Minutes later, Alexis and Hank came downstairs to the dining room. I watched Alexis stroll to the other side of the table and take a seat. We accidentally made eye contact and locked eyes on each other but still said nothing.

I noticed that Alexis had changed out of her sweatsuit and and now only wore basketball shorts with a sports bra. Her hair was in wet curls down her back. She must have taken a shower.
