"Upgrading my class and my gear... jeez. That's a serious jump, Symphony."
A soft giggle had Justice peek behind her.
"Do I look that bad? It seriously clashes... and I can see through this visor for shit!"
Justice pushed the thin visor up, revealing her face. Symphony stepped over quickly, pulling strands of hair out of the way.
"So what did you get from the class upgrade?"
"Like... three fifty on health, fifteen strength and twenty vitality? I feel pretty strong, but magic is not in my reach... and it's my bane."
"Huh. Maybe get a magic amulet to boost magic defense? Hard to choose something for the neck slot, but you have set gear. Does the set have six or seven?"
"Seven."
"Full set... that's neat. Maybe use a shield or a second weapon in your free hand?"
Justice tilted her head a little, nodding at the idea.
"I'm better off getting my set complete first and foremost, but an offhand weapon seems like a good choice. Sure a shield would work better for a tank, but I'm kinda thorny lately."
The two girls continued to converse as they made their way through the second town Justice had encountered. While the first was somewhat rowdy, the second was almost desolate, save for the townspeople working around.
"This is nice... but honestly, I'm still stressed out, Justice. It makes me uncomfortable knowing that he could..."
Her face paled as Symphony dropped to her knees. She hugged herself, Justice barely covering her mouth as she almost screamed.
"Symphony, look. Calm down. He's not there. You're alright."
"H-he... he could've gotten in my room. He could've done something to m-me-"
Justice pulled Symphony into her arms, hugging the automaton.
"I promise, he isn't their. He won't touch you. He can't touch you."
Symphony rested her face against Justice's shoulder.
"Why can't I feel this safe out of Relian? Justice... do you think we could?"
"Could?"
"Meet... I uh... I don't know if we live close to each other or anything, but I'd feel safe if maybe you really lived close by?"
Justice patted Symphony on the head, helping her to her feet.
"While I could tell you my address, let's settle for the town. I live in Quarter City."
Symphony's eyes lit up.
"I live in Dime! We actually live really close!"
Justice giggled, patting her head once more.
"Maybe we can meet, but for now it'll be another promise. If you really don't feel safe, let me know. I'll find you... okay?"
Jumping up, Symphony suddenly looked down. Justice was carrying her quite easily, making the machine girl confused.
"What is your strength?"
"Just over a hundred. You're a bit heavy... you're really made of metal?"
Symphony nodded as she was returned to the ground.
"Normally people can't lift an automaton that easily. Hehe... it was fun."
The beaming smile and light blue blush made Justice's heart throb a little.
"Why do cute things like you exist?"
Symphony shrugged.
"I was built this way."
"You're telling real person."
"I was born this way? Sorta."
Rolling her eyes, Justice led Symphony out of the city.
"I can reach my next upgrade already, right?"
"As of level thirty, yea. Should be Champion. Hmm... Vengeance gear looks really sleek... maybe you'll look kinda sexy when you're fully outfitted?"
"Well..."
Justice eyed her body, unequpping and requipping the gear she was using.
"My body isn't half bad here, but my face was made to be cute. Not sexy."
"Then what about real life?"
Justice sighed.
"I'd love to be cute... but I'm not. I'm tough, with the scars to prove it. I'm taller than this, though my only fat seems to be on my tits."
"Pfft."
Symphony couldn't stop herself from laughing, buckling over slightly at the blunt words.
"J-JUSTICE! What the hell?!"
Justice gave a smug grin.
"Imagining my avatar with big gazongas? Maybe thinking of her taller? Hehe... I'm also blond. Not dark haired. With a smaller butt."
Symphony had stopped laughing now, only eyeing Justice with a deep blue blush across her cheeks.
"Are you just teasing me now?"
"You looked like you liked it."
"Then why don't I tease you?"
Before Justice could respond, Symphony leaned in close and kissed her cheek. Her blazing red face caused a soft giggle from the blue faced automaton.
"Wh-what?! I thought..."
"It wasn't your lips."
Both girls immediately looked at each other's lips, turning away as the felt steam spill from their ears.
"Thankfully, no one saw... Rook?"
Symphony turned around, her eyes falling onto Rook. His face had grown dark as he shook his head and approached Symphony.
"We need to go. The guild needs you, not this sewer ra-"
SLAP
Rook blinked slowly, his eyes adjusting in the moonlight.
"You killed her, for no reason. The fact I got no warning about striking a Good player tells me all the more. Ugh... despicable. Be glad I don't end your character now and leave. Let's go, Justice."
The two girls began to walk off, Justice seeing a deep and burning hatred in Rook's eyes.
"Symphony... he doesn't look good. Almost dangerous."
"What's he gonna do? Attack us? I don't even know him out of the game, so no worries."
Justice sighed.
'There could be worries though...'
"Hey... just remember to come to me if you really don't feel safe. I want you to continue playing and having fun."
Justice's bright smile made Symphony smile as well.
"Okay. I'll let you know."
