Chapter 50

Time flew by and finally came the day of the Flash. This is a holiday organized by the city authorities to thank the hero and give him the key to the city. Most of the rubble was removed and many buildings were restored, the city finally more or less recovered. I was a little amused by this celebration, because Flash did not deserve the reward for saving the city at all. If it wasn't for the Firestorm, all these people would have died long ago. They don't seem to care much, all they saw was a bright flash rushing into the singularity, so they can't be blamed. Barry gives people hope, I agree with that, he also has benefits. But on that day, it wasn't hope or faith that saved all these people, but Ronnie Raymond. If anyone has earned this key, then this is it. I remember that Flash came to pick him up, but he definitely didn't deserve it. Who deserved it, so it's all his team, because without them, Barry is just an idiot with super speed. The only reason he's still alive is because of this strange world created by someone, as well as because of his friends. In any case, I wanted to clarify something, so I was going to appear at this "celebration".

The atom smasher would appear there, but I didn't want to contact it yet. I have mixed feelings about his abilities. On the one hand, I would like to get them, but on the other, I was a little afraid. Strength and the ability to increase in size were certainly desired by me. But there were a couple of things that stopped me. First of all, this is my suit, it's just not designed for the size that this guy is able to increase. Of course, the problem was so-so, I could just not increase. This guy had huge strength without magnification. It was like Rust, just less durable and stronger. His strength didn't depend on his weight, but on his energy. The more energy it absorbed, the stronger it became. I could save it if I didn't increase my size. The second problem was precisely this very energy, he was fed by radiation and thanks to it he could maintain his strength. The problem was that I would probably have to absorb radiation as well as he did, which is quite problematic. I don't know what will happen if I stop absorbing it at all, but I don't want to check it out. Plus, if I took his powers, I might be unknowingly absorbing the radiation around me, which means I could be found, just like Flash found the wrecker. In General, the problems were unpleasant. I had a lot of questions about his ability, so I had to see for myself. If I had caught it and asked a couple of questions and conducted experiments, then I could have already decided what to do with it. The problem is that it won't be easy to catch him, and even if I do, what then? His strength is enough to break out of any shackles, and this can cause problems, up to the destruction of my base. I don't want to take any chances, I need to come up with a plan, there are still a couple of hours before the main event of the day.

An hour and a half later, I arrived at the square where the key to the city was to be presented to Flash. There were already quite a few people here, among whom I noticed Cisco and Joe West. I was on the roof of one of the buildings nearby, so as not to glow. Still, my costume is quite noticeable. At the right moment, I'll go down and say a few words to these people, they should know something.

When the time came, the mayor of the city took the stage and began his speech. After talking about the saviors of the city, I decided to intervene.

*Urin*

By appearing abruptly on the scene, I caused some people to panic. Someone was scared, and someone behaved quite calmly. This was not surprising, since few people had ever seen me in this suit before. If they knew who I was, the situation might have changed a little. Ordinary people had heard about me, and the cops even had plans to catch me, but I'd gone into hiding for a few months, so they had to put the case on hold.

The guards immediately closed the door and pulled out their weapons, pointing them at me.

- Who are you?-

I grinned and said:

- Put your weapons away and you won't get hurt, I've come to say a few words to these people. So don't get in the way.-

The guard didn't even listen to me and kept yelling:

- Says who you are, now! Or I'll shoot you!-

I just shook my head at that, and then moved behind the guards.

* Bang* * Bang* * Bang*

A few blows and they were unconscious. After that, people started to panic, so I went to the microphone and said:

- Calm down, I won't hurt you, that's not why I'm here. I've come to tell you the truth.-

Some people who were about to run away stopped. They seemed curious, but some of them kept running away. At this I could only sigh and continue:

- Flash Day, a wonderful holiday, you all think of him as the hero who saved Central City, but do you know the truth? That day, it wasn't just the Flash, it was someone else who saved your lives, someone you don't even know about. This man died sacrificing himself, and Flash was powerless.– After my words, many people changed their faces, I saw that many did not believe, but they had doubts. I didn't care much about their opinions at all, I just wanted to tell the truth. Whether they would accept it or not, I didn't care. I just wanted them to know the name of their savior, even if they didn't believe me.

At that moment, a flash flashed across the square, and then Flash appeared next to me. People started cheering for him, and he didn't take his eyes off me.

- You... Why are you here?- Barry asked seriously.

I grinned:

- Oh, so you recognized me?-

Flash chuckled:

- I've heard about your new suit, and it looks quite provocative.-

-Maybe, but it's much better than latex, you have a real fetish for such clothes-. I glanced at Barry's suit and grinned , - Does it fit so comfortably?-

- Ha! Better than your hardware.-

I smiled and looked at the people next to the stage, then said:

- Firestorm saved your lives, even though Flash was involved, but he's definitely not the hero who saved you.- I glanced at Barry and asked: - Isn't that right, Flash?-

Barry lowered his head a little, and then looked at the people:

- That's right, I didn't do much that day...-
