Astonishment

Chen Yang did not immediately reply, but instead drank a sip of his coffee, and put it down before softly sighing with a heavy look on his face, "Si Chen, I really admire you for having such knowledge at your age. I know that I'm not supposed to do this, but I have to warn you that investing into my online shopping website may not be a great idea, and may cause huge losses instead."

"Although the idea of 'online shopping' is an original idea that may, at first glance, seem lucrative, it is not as amazing as it is made up to be. There are many problems that we are facing right now, and the deficit we are incurring is painful to the eye. I suggest that you should give up on this idea, and try out other businesses to invest to instead." Chen Yang said in a sincere tone.

It was not that Chen Yang did not like Si Chen to invest into his website, but rather because he felt that Si Chen was a good youth, and didn't want him to lose money at his early stages in life just because of him.

However, Si Chen did not think much about his reminder.

There was only one reason why he was investing, which was his confidence in it. As for the problems, he would then solve them one by one.

"Chen Yang, I appreciate your reminder. But I am still persistent in my decision to invest into your website." Si Chen shook his head with a smile on his face.

"Si Chen, you may face the risk of losing all your money. Are you sure that you still want to invest?" Chen Yang tried to persuade.

Si Chen lightly chuckled as he heard Chen Yang. He had heard of bosses promoting their companies before, but this was the first time he saw someone who didn't want others to invest into their business.

He nodded his head in response, "I'm sure."

At this point of time, Chen Yang just gave a sigh. It was not as if he could completely prevent Si Chen from investing into their business. After all, he had other partners who helped him to found the website, and if they knew that he had stopped someone who had the intention to invest, he would surely be berated for that.

"How much would you like to invest then?" Chen Yang switched his tone and asked.

Si Chen's lips curled up into a smile, as he stated, "I gather that the effort you put into to create that website, along with the resources you had put in, would accumulated to a total of around $10000."

He halted for a while after he said this, and Chen Yang lightly nodded his head in agreement.

Online website developments naturally had smaller upstart cost than a restaurant, drink store, or a clothing shops, as it is merely created online, in the virtual world.

Unlike real shops, it does not require a piece of solid land to operate at, other than the occasion where a warehouse is needed to be built to store the goods which will be sold online.

Other than that, mostly everything else is done online, where creation and maintenance costs will be kept to a minimum.

"I will offer $20000 for an 80% share of the website, including the profits." Si Chen raised up his two hands, and pointed eight fingers.

Chen Yang merely looked at this in a daze, his mind reeling in shock.

"Are you sure about this?" Chen Yang regained his composure after a while, while hesitatingly asking.

$20000 was a huge sum, and it could immediately solve their imminent cash flow issues. The 80% shares did not matter that much to him, because without the cash, his website will eventually topple, and his shares will not be worth much.

Si Chen nodded his head in response, while he placed his phone down on the table. On the screen on his phone, showed his account balance.

Chen Yang looked down at the phone, and his pupils involuntarily narrowed, while he had almost cried out in shock.

That was…so much money!

He swallowed his saliva, and suppressing the utter astonishment raging about within his mind, he rubbed his hands and slowly said, "Si Chen, the scale of this matter is too huge for me to handle. After all, although I am the founder of the OnShop website, I also have quite a few partners of mine who are co-founders and had invested their time and effort into this."

"I will have to check up with them, before I can make a decision on this." Chen Yang tone of voice was especially careful, as though he was afraid that Si Chen will pull back on this deal.

"It's okay. I will give you some time for you to think about this. And about the shares…if you are willing to give more of it to me, I will naturally purchase them for a suitable price too." Si Chen warmly smiled while suggesting.

80% of the shares was a huge amount by itself, but he definitely won't mind if he could get even more, because the more he possessed, the greater benefits he received when the value of this website explodes upwards.

"I will tell them about your suggestion too. I hope you can patiently await our decision, and I will get back to you as fast as I can." Chen Yang assured while patting his chest.

"You said it yourself!" Si Chen heartily laughed.

They stayed a while for a little bit of small talk, and after they had finished consuming their drinks, they exchanged goodbyes before leaving.

Chen Yang was basically on Cloud 9 after he found out what this investment deal could mean to their store, and he was dying to call his partners back to inform them about this.

On the other hand, Si Chen was waiting to hail a cab at the roadside, and while he was waiting, he turned his head back to glance at the café that he was just in.

He remembered that while he was trying to choose which investment target to choose for his second mission, which he eventually stuck with Seafood Restaurant, the other one was a café with rather good potential.

Although he already owned a Hui Yuan Drink Store, it won't hurt him to try out investing in another beverage related shop either.

Also, a café and the Hui Yuan Drink Store had their differences, with café mostly selling coffee related drinks, along with a few deserts to top it along, while the Hui Yuan Drink Store mainly focussed on sweet and sugary drinks.

In this way, he won't have to worry about his businesses conflicting and affecting each other's businesses.

The cash on his hand was steadily growing every day, and it would be a waste to just leave it within the bank to collect the puny interest.

Rather than that, he preferred to use the money to the greatest. This could count as a side investment, while waiting for the Eternal Fashion to pick up popularity.

A cab came a while later, and he hopped onto it and went back towards his apartment, whilst his mind was still contemplating about the matter of investing into a café.
