Ch. 6 - Second Day...

"Oniichan, the rice ball you made was so good!" Aika praised my cooking skills which only made me want to squeeze his cheeks even more.

"Aren't you glad that you have such a good oniichan?"

"Oniichan, can you make me one every day?" Aika pleaded again with his big puppy eyes.

How can I say no but then it will eat at my study time if I do it every day! It took me two hours just to make that! Oh no, I can't have that happening because then if I make one every day and it takes two hours that means I will fail all of my classes and end up in a marriage with a creepy old man. I stared at my baby mochi and couldn't dare say no.

"How about I make one for you every Monday?"

He smiled devilishly as he accepted right away. Why do I feel like I just lost?

"Reina the chauffeur!"

"Nei, let's go Aika," I took my mochi's little hands and went into the chauffeur.

"How was your first day Aika?"

"It was so fun oniichan, I got to make new friends and the teacher let us play outside. We played airplanes and I was the winner!" Aika's eyes sparkled as he reminisced about yesterday's event.

"That is my mochi. Make sure to be careful and not get hurt we don't want you to have any scrapes okay Aika? Oh and make sure to wear knee pads and elbow pads when playing outside Aika."

"Oniichan, that is embarrassing nobody wears those I will look like a thumb," Aikia whined and pouted.

What-

A thumb?

I think there is something wrong with my hearing I should tell okaasan about it later. I might be losing my hearing but then what's next? My sight? Then my smell? Then my taste? NOO anything but my taste! Then I won't be able to taste my delicious curry anymore or my favorite lychee mochi pudding. The texture is so stretchy and chewy, yet so soft and sweet with a hint of the creme over the mochi. It's too perfect. I need to see the doctor right away!

"Reina-chan, why did you force me to become vice representative? Now I can't read my manga during break anymore," Hina's lips quivered as she stared longingly at her untouched manga on her desk.

"I didn't force you Hina-chan, you raised your own hand to volunteer. I don't remember calling out your name or raising your hand for you."

Hina let out a defeated sigh.

We shall struggle together. Especially with Shiozaki-san, the devil himself, sitting over there while the girls continue to be loud. I will need a sacrificial lamb to help me and none other than Hina is perfect for the role.

"fufufu"

"Reina-chan," Hina whispered at me, "you doing it again it's so creepy. Look you are scaring the other students."

What does she mean? What am I doing?

Honestly, it's this face that I have, if I wasn't born with this face I wouldn't be scary or creepy. But, I can't do anything about it and I am too scared to get plastic surgery. What if I die? What if they accidentally poke out my eye or cut my nose off? EEEK.... that will be a no. I will never succumb to that scary surgery no matter how pretty it can make me. Knowing my luck I will have a pig nose at the end. Then I can never show my face to society and turn into an otaku. Eating chips all day, reading manga, and playing games instead of being a dignified proper lady. I would have greasy hair and pimples that are the size of pepperonis on my face. Oh, the horrors!
