The Source of All Strength

Pride looked at Gyo with a sad look as if he understood what Gyo was feeling right now. The reflection of Gyo who came from the lake slowly began to show himself changing from white to black and vice versa, making Pride even more worried that Gyo would fail again. Various positive and negative emotions combine to become one in Gyo's mind, making Gyo's self-reflection which finally comes out completely black and white.

"Did I fail again?" Gyo wonders to see that the reflection of himself that comes out doesn't match what he expected.

"I-this has never happened before but at least I can say that now you have succeeded and even surpassed your previous predecessors," said Pride who was shocked to see what was happening in front of him.

"Didn't you say that I would graduate when I got a white self-reflection? But even this doesn't fit the criteria for passing or not passing," Gyo asked in surprise.

"This is called the balance where dark and light are one and inseparable like Yin and Yang," replied Pride.

Hearing this, Gyo's feelings were mixed and couldn't describe it in words. Without realizing it, Gyo's left eye began to emit a golden light indicating that his Gold Eyes ability had returned.

"I ... I succeeded but is the test just this or is there another test waiting for me?" Gyo asked after remembering the previous exam that had come many times.

"There are no other tests at this time and the next test will occur when you are ready to release your fourth seal so now you can go," answered Pride while preparing a portal under Gyo's feet that would make him return to the real world.

Seeing this, Gyo quickly asked Pride to postpone it because there were other things on his mind.

"Wait ... there is something I want to ask you !!" exclaimed Gyo.

"Well just ask what you want to ask and as long as it's still reasonable then I'll answer it," replied Pride.

"Are you sure you don't recognize me? I know you are Dark Eyes that I know and I can't be wrong," asked Gyo.

Hearing Gyo's question, Pride was immediately shocked and tried to think of the right reason to dodge.

"I don't know what you're talking about but you would be wrong to equate me with someone else," answered Pride.

"I know you will talk like that but the look on your face shows that there is something that you are hiding from me, especially during the previous exam you look happy to see my presence is not like when we first met so aren't you lying not recognizing me?" Gyo urged.

After Gyo pushed Pride over and over again, Pride finally admitted that he was the Dark Eyes that Gyo knew. He then recounted how he recovered part of his memory when he fought a black figure in Shin's soul realm and returned to the place where he came from.

"So that's it, I thought you were going to disappear forever," said Gyo.

"That can't happen because as long as there is evil intent in the human mind then I won't disappear that easily," replied Pride.

"But why aren't you as bad as I thought? Is there anything else that makes you this way?" asked Gyo.

"At first I was out of control, but since I met you, my attitude slowly began to change," said Pride.

The moments of their first meeting began to re-appear in their minds making them unconsciously unable to hold back their laughter but suddenly that changed when Pride revealed something to Gyo.

"Actually at this time I haven't got all my memories back but what I do remember is clearly something that makes me remember again all my memories can come back completely when I beat the black figures that are in legendary eye users," said Pride.

Pride then shared what he still remembers today that is, he is the source of all the strength possessed by each traditional eye and at the same time as the traditional eye is created, black figures are created and inhabit each of the traditional eyes. Gyo then remembers what Mr. Yagami told about the seven deadly sins that exist in humans then tries to connect them with black figures but Gyo then feels surprised because there are only five traditional eyes while there are seven deadly sins so what about the rest but all of that. only he could keep it tight in his heart.

"Then I'll beat every legendary eye user so I can control all your memories but can you still get out of this place?" Gyo asked suddenly.

"Unfortunately I can no longer get out of here but at least I can still meet you again during your fourth seal exam and until then you have to become even stronger," answered Pride.

After hearing this, Gyo finally returned alone to the real world, but before returning, Gyo said words that made Pride surprised and could only be silent while watching Gyo leave.

"See you again at the fourth exam, Pride the arrogance," said Gyo.

Gyo is now back in the real world and the shape of the seal on his left eye slowly changes from a hexagram to a star then a square to a triangle before finally turning back into a hexagram. After that Gyo finally left the place and rushed towards his grandfather's house where his grandfather was confused looking for Gyo's whereabouts, who disappeared without news. Arriving at his grandfather's house, Gyo was greeted with a hug from his grandfather's worry which made him embarrassed enough and for various reasons, finally Gyo was able to convince his grandfather that he was fine and there was nothing to worry about.

"So the ability of your eyes has returned, so there is nothing to worry about anymore," said Grandpa Gyo, which made Gyo surprised because he felt that his grandfather did not know anything about his Gold Eyes.

"Since when did you know about the existence of Gold Eyes? Is there anything else that Grandpa and Mother are hiding from me?" asked Gyo curiously.

"Even so, I was a Gold Eyes user before so I know about it," replied Gyo's grandfather.

Hearing this, Gyo was shocked and began to wonder how his grandfather was a Gold Eyes user before when he clearly knew that only Grand Gold Eyes users and himself.

"When I was your age, my father transplanted the eye to me but only for a while I got it suddenly the eyes returned to the ancestral grave and at that time I realized that I was not the chosen person," explained Grandpa Gyo.

Meanwhile, Gyo doesn't realize that that day is the day when Interhigh will be held again and their team will soon have a preliminary match in Masara prefecture. Inevitably, the Cyoku High School basketball team finally has to compete without Gyo's presence, who has disappeared without knowing where he went.
