CHAPTER 11

The peak of dawn, the sun shine's slowly on everything. Including the bloody road near the inn where the huge explosion came from. Cries and sufferings are the only things you could ever hear in such a small town.

And there is Lavender with a few blocks covering her half body as she ran towards the direction of the inn when the explosion happened. Bloody and almost unconscious, Tyler on the other hand was flown away and was a few meters away from the love of his life. He slowly stood up feeling the pain on his left broken leg, he passed by the body of Hazel but he didn't care.

He found himself kneeling in front of Lavender who is busy fighting for her consciousness. "A-ab..by.. F-fra..nk.. " Tears escape from Tyler's eyes as he saw how big the explosion was, they'd be lucky to see a few pieces of them inside but he nodded and starts to go to the inn. He found remnants of someone's body on the floor and there he saw Rafael kneeling in front of something.

"R..Raf. " he called out ot his friend but instead of looking back to him Rafael just cried. "I..I didn't..I was..too late.. " Tyler went closer to his friend and broke down beside him.

They sat there just crying, the warmth of sun disappears as people who were evacuated came to see, people called for rescues and tried to help one another but Rafael and Tyler didn't care. They lost everything.

"MISS LAV?! WAIT! OVER HERE! PLEASE SAVE HER!! " They heard Jackie's voice from where Tyler left Lavender, he heave a sigh feeling hopeless. "I couldn't protect them.. Raf, I'm such a coward. If..if only I've been brave enough to face Hazel alone.. If only I didn't ran away.. "

Rafael looked up at the skies and whispered. "I neglected my job as a father and a protector and this is my compensation. You didn't do anything wrong, Parker. You fell in love, you chase for that love but at the process you found a bad love that leads to this chaos. That bad love should die before us. " Tyler with wide eyes watched his friend stand on his feet while he follows.

"Raf.. please think about it. Hazel is still a human and killing someone is a huge sin. " He tried to reason out his friend but Rafael just look back at him and smile. "Parker, 8 years ago, when Kath said that we lost our child.. I was broke, I feel like I lost the biggest puzzle piece in my life. I didn't even know how to smile until I saw you with Franky and thought 'Damn, my child would've been at his age by now' do you know how much it pains me to wake up every single day with that missing piece? Everytime I see Franky it feels like I am seeing my child. Then, truth came out and we still tried to hide it. I wanted to hug him so tight and don't want to let go but I never did, I didn't even get to hug my son even after telling them the truth and that fckng bitch just took it all away from me in an instant! " He waggles a bit and almost lost his balance as he cried and laugh sarcastically.

"Is she God? Why did she decide to take Franklin away from me from the very first time? Why did she decided to take him away from me once again? Don't I deserve to be a Dad? Don't I deserve to be completed? I've always been empty and incomplete since I was a kid and that gap has been filled with Franky but then... But then.. I can't even make-love with my wife after what happened 8 years ago, Parker, I was so scared to have hope and get lost again. So scared that I'd be losing my treasure once again and here I am! Right now, I lost him again! I didn't even had the chance to tell him how proud I am and how much I love him! Parker, I don't know how to live anymore.. but before I do that, I need to take her with me. You can't reason out with me anymore, I'm sick of it. "

He once again started walking towards where Hazel is currently being rescued. "Bro.. Franklin won't want you to do it. He's such a genius that even I can't believe he's still a kid, he's just like you...my Bestfriend for life and I won't allow you to make any more mistakes that even I want to commit. I just lost my pumpkin too and I lost Franky too. "

"No please.. stop talking please Tyler please.. I want to end our suffering and it will only end with Hazel being dead. "

Tyler didn't speak a word and just followed his friend as he watch Hazel getting up after being rescued. "Why is she still alive? Parker do you see that smug face? " She is indeed smirking at their direction then she grabbed the officer's gun "I'm tired of you." and pointed it at Tyler then take a shot at him in the stomach then laugh manically.

"PARKER! OH YOU BITCH! " As Tyler's body collapsed to the ground he can only remember Lavender's smile, Abigail's giggles, Franklin's smartass words and Rafael's shout at him when he's being a dumbass.

He smiled then he heard two gunshots and saw Rafael's body next to his. "H-hey.. Why'd you die..with me..? "

He asked and Rafael half laughing and coughing out blood as he is. "We're...bestfriends.. afterall.. "

Then slowly and painfully they both closed their eyes and drifted off to the deepest and darkest slumber.
