Control and Guests.

Inside of the system space, Alex was currently lying down on the ground. Three years had passed, and his improvement had been a sight to behold. Although he hadn't been able to do many missions, he still was able to get certain achievements, which led to him crossing over to level 3. The system had to improvise and create achievements to allow him to gain exp over the years. It had been slow due to the nature of these achievements, which were just Pseudo-missions.

There was a smile on his face. His hard work had paid off, and he was just as strong if not stronger than his previous self, but he knew that he had to work harder if he wanted to reach his mentor's level.

The biggest surprise over the years had been his mother. She had frequently visited him and had helped him understand the Methods of Movement. She also helped him train and spar, along with Alice and Zira. That was the reason why he was able to improve his body control to this point.

He had a new skill by training using the Relic item. Control. It was completely dependent on his ability to improve his control over the body, and it was a skill that the system didn't have much information about. It couldn't calculate the proficiency, but it could still sense it's rank based on his improvement.

"Well, I don't need that book anymore. My basic training is done, so it is really important to try to test myself. I need to start doing missions now."

He had completely memorized the book, and his training had allowed him to increase his brain awareness to a frightening degree. His intelligence was really high, so his comprehension ability was top-notch. He would still practice his basic skills from time to time, but he will be less dependent on them to improve from now on.

"User, time is up."

---------------------------------------------------

Today was going to be a special day. It was his 10th birthday, and he was going to receive his first gift, his first mission from the family. His father had never visited him, so he wasn't aware of his improvement. His mother had kept her word and ensured his secrecy.

When he reached the hall room, Alice was waiting for him. She had been a great help over the years, but over the years he still wasn't able to completely trust her. The incident with his mother had left a deep impression on him, and he wasn't getting rid of that impression anytime soon.

"Kid, your mother is going to be visiting today. Are you nervous?"

Zira was seated on one of the chairs, eating her breakfast. she hadn't changed much, which was completely expected.

"What is there to be nervous about?"

Alex was straightforward. He had been preparing for this day for years in advance.

"Well, other guests are coming, so make sure that you don't screw up."

He nodded. The guests had been kept a secret from him, like always. His mother had this weird habit of just bringing people to meet him from other families. Except for the Zhao family, all the other families were more or less cool with each other. They had a rule that they could take missions together and split the rewards if they both wanted to take part in them, which made them work in cohesion from time to time.

The people he had previously met with had been some of Sylvia's previous acquaintances, who had been working with other families for years. They helped give him some pointers, as well as took back his information to the respective families. The only condition that she had set up, was that they don't report it to the Curran family, who would immediately try to take action if the word got out.

So she had been able to connect Alex to other families, and they had some valuable information on him as a prodigy, but his own family had been kept in dark. How she was able to hide him from Ronald's information networks had been a mystery.

"Alex, they are here."

Alice notified him.

"I'll be right there."

--------------------------------

Outside the mansion, Sylvia had arrived with guests from all the families, including the Zhao family.

"So this is where the mysterious young master has been training. Let's hope that the information about him has been accurate, I really don't like wasting my time."

Dima Smirnov. The little prince of the Smirnov family. He had turned 17 this year and was one of the strongest young generation assassins. However, the information given by his scouts had suggested that Alex was way more powerful than anyone his age. His potential had surpassed everyone from their current generation, but he wouldn't be sure until he saw it from his own eyes.

"I am just here for a fight. If he is as good as the reports suggest, I need to defeat him to calm himself down."

Zhao Jin. second in line with the Zhao family, his age is unknown. Although his body was that of a 13-year-old, his age was being hidden by the Zhao family, and there had been threats of war over this matter.

"Whatever. I just need to see what kind of person had been trained by the madam."

Claudia Grey. 15 year old and an admirer of Sylvia. She was a great assassin, who wanted to one day surpass her idol in the future. She was the second oldest daughter of the Grey family, but due to her elder sister's shaky origins, she was the first in line to inherit the throne of the head.

"Let's see how much you improved, Dimwit."

Kane had volunteered to go with his mother to assess his elder brother's situation. Others didn't care about him that much, but he still felt a bit guilty about the past. He himself had improved by leaps and bounds since their last meeting, so he was confident in himself. He just wanted to apologize to his brother and get that weight off his shoulders. He had been confused about the previous conversation, but he thought that it was something that his mother had planned.

All of them had already met each other several times and were the perfect candidates for the test.

Along with them, their respective guards had come to ensure their safety. This might be a fairly secretive event, but still, they needed protection.

"Don't worry. All of you will get a chance to test him."

Just as she said that a figure suddenly emerged from the mansion.

It was a kid who was fairly tall, around 143 centimeters in height. His eyes were grey, and his hair was light brown. His face was showing a smile, which was confident. His walk was noble, and he looked like a person who had many openings, but when people tried to analyze them in more detail, they looked like traps. He was a 10-year-old kid, but the aura he gave off was different.
