An Unexpected Addition.

The next day, Alex skipped on his training session with Lucius and his classes in the institution. He went straight to Steven's room, where he was talking with Claudia about something. Seeing that he was busy, he decided to wait outside, but Steven called him inside.

"I guess you two have met before, but not in ideal conditions. So I want you two to reintroduce yourselves to each other."

Alex was puzzled. If Steven knew about the event that had taken place due to their animosity with each other, why was he trying to be the bridge for their friendship? It isn't going to happen, ever.

"Mom might not have informed you about this, but Claudia is going to be an essential part of this mission. Better yet, I am not allowed to assist you if you don't accept her, so that's that."

Steven was thoroughly going to enjoy Alex's predicament. The illusion of Alex being a Hero had been completely lifted after their interaction with each other over the past few weeks. He still had that one project that Alex had agreed to participate in return for teaching him coding, but that had to be postponed due to certain technical difficulties.

Claudia approached Alex. She was still feeling fearful due to the calm look that Alex was giving her, but she mustered up her courage and extended her hand forward.

"Claudia Grey. Sorry for causing you trouble before, I'll try to stay out of your way as much as possible."

Her voice had no resemblance to her previous arrogant self. She was trying her level best to be as polite as possible, and she succeeded. Alex was angry with her mother for including her because she would continue to annoy him with her antics but seeing that she was promising to stay out of his way, he decided to let her join, just this once. He needed logistics support because the mission was going to take place in a very crowded place.

Alex shook her hand, and then came straight to the point.

"So, do you have a plan?"

Alex asked Steven. He had his own plan, but Alex wanted to take inputs from both of them because they might be able to give good opinions based on their own views.

"I do have one, but let us hear your opinion first. My opinion is more of a patch, which might help to fix any holes that your opinion might have."

Alex nodded. Steven was trying to find loopholes in his plan and give him a proper explanation, which was always welcome.

"The plan is as follows,

Senator Micah Livingstone is a very influential person in US politics and has recently been caught engaging in very dubious activities. Identified as a slave ring leader, the government still hasn't been able to gather solid evidence to incriminate him, mainly because most of the evidence was destroyed, possibly due to his interference.

Letifer collective was informed of this incident by a Swiss Business magnet, Elias Schmid who suspected that his 7-year-old daughter had been enslaved and tortured by this syndicate, possibly leading to her death. He was positive about his actions as her body was found in one of the previous hideouts of Micah's crime ring. Furthermore, Elias donated around 70 million euros for the head of the target, stating that he would like to be the person to kill him, so they needed to capture him alive if possible. He would still accept his death by the collective's hands, but under no circumstances he should be left alive.

Their best bet would be to strike at a charity ball that is taking place in two days, because other than that it would be almost impossible to capture him alive, and killing him would prove to be extremely difficult. Since the bounty isn't too high considering the power that the target possessed, the mission is of low priority, free for all the families to take on. The assassin group that completes the mission is entitled to 2 million, with the rest being equally distributed within the 4 main families for taking up this mission.

The plan is simple, we need to get into the ball and capture him, alive. We could try attacking him and killing him along with his entourage on the outside with a well-planned attack, but we have to make sure that we capture him alive. That is the only way that I will consider this mission to be successful. There will be 2 of his most trusted bodyguards with him at the ball, and we need to make sure that a power cut occurs in the ball so that we can kidnap him and disappear. The building isn't guarded heavily, but there could be a change in plans so we need to have a person attending as a guest that can free us from all suspicion. Also, we need a distraction. A distraction which can help us to create a false narrative regarding his abduction."

This was all that Alex had been able to come up with. The Kidnapping itself isn't going to be too hard due to the minimal security inside of the ball, but he had to make sure that they could get into the event first, as an alibi. Also, he had to make sure that the plan was a bit more fleshed out, considering it was pretty incomplete as of now.

"I can be the insider. The Grey family garners a lot of respect in the country, and I am pretty influential myself in the entertainment industry. I can get the tickets to the ball pretty easily, so I can do that work."

Claudia was excited. She had found a way to make herself useful, which was an uplifting experience.

"I can work out the details regarding the escape route and the blackout. I already have the designs for the interior of the building, so we can make a planned route for the entire thing. I only have to gather plans regarding the electrical setup of the place, which isn't going to take much time. Plus, we need one more person who can attest for our Alibi, so I will leave that to you, Claudia. Call up one of your high society friends, and don't inform her about the mission."

Steven added to her idea. He was confident that this mission was going to be a piece of cake.

Alex was convinced. Their plan was finally taking shape, and they now just had to wait for Steven to come up with a route for this mission, then they could further expand on their plan.

Little did they know that it wasn't going to be this easy.
