The Man Who Came Back.

Unable to completely calm himself down, Alex decided to ask Lucius for advice. He knew that Lucius wouldn't refuse him, and he desperately needed some sort of solution.

"Just Meditate. You need to fight your own battles sometimes."

Lucius turned him down. He was only doing this because his secret contact had advised him to be as cold as possible to Alex. Lucius couldn't see the benefit in this, but he didn't refute his orders.

Alex walked away, with even more frustration. He wasn't expecting Lucius to turn him down so cold, and even if what he said made sense, Alex wouldn't have asked him if he could do it by himself. According to him, Lucius just didn't understand.

He returned to his room and began meditating. He decided to focus on one thing, and that was running a mental simulation of his fighting style, trying to practice his awareness regarding his own actions. His body movement, his reflexive actions to certain attacks, etc.

Over time, he was feeling that the mental image he had of himself was getting blurred out. He was making mistakes that he would never make under normal circumstances, and the feeling of helplessness was being manifested in his copy inside of the simulation. He used Lucius as a reference and kept getting hit, even in situations where he would normally perform well.

"Alex."

He opened his eyes. Clara was standing in front of him, smiling. Claudia was standing right behind her, also looking at him.

Again, he started to hallucinate. Clara changed into Mark, and the smile made his heartbeat go crazy. Bloodlust was ready to ooze out of his body, and Hyena's heart didn't help.

"It is good that you train yourself well. It's important for a prodigy like you to not give up on hard work."

Alex couldn't focus on her voice. His head was filled with voices that he had heard in his previous life. Mocking him, giving him no choice.

Alex tried closing his eyes, but he couldn't. It was like he was losing control of his own body, and his vision turned red.

His arm started shaking. His willpower was failing him, and it was different than his previous outburst. He didn't want to be angry, and his brain was conscious the entire time. It was as if he had been possessed, but not completely.

Without any warning, he attacked Clara. She was close to her, so it looked like a certain hit, and his face was filled with sorrow.

But at the end moment, he used everything he had to change the direction of his punch and hit himself as hard as he could in the gut using the momentum of that already initiated attack.

Claudia jumped in front of her mother. Clara was in shock, so she still hadn't been able to process everything that had just happened, but Claudia couldn't afford to make any mistakes. At first, she was furious with Alex for trying to hurt her mother but seeing that she wasn't harmed, she calmed down by a bit.

Alex was holding his stomach. The pain was so intense, he was finally able to get his mind away from that nightmare.

"What are you doing?"

Clara snapped out of it and asked Alex with a solemn expression on her face.

"L...Leave...the...r..oom."

Alex didn't have anything else to say. He had finally figured out a way to distract himself, and he was going to use his knowledge to get over his current state.

Clara was still baffled by the scene that played out in front of her, But her daughter understood. She grabbed her mother's hand and took her outside. Unlike her mother, she already guessed that this might be related to the berserk state of his that her father had described to them.

"Will you tell me what is going on!"

Clara wanted answers.

Claudia sighed. She proceeded to explain things to her.

Meanwhile, in his room, Alex was experimenting with his options. The pain in his stomach had already started to subdue, so he had to think fast.

"What can I do to induce continuous pain?"

Wound? No, that won't work. If the wound was too big, the pain wouldn't register. If they were too small, it would heal really quickly. If there were too many small wounds, he could become accustomed to it, which would be the worst-case scenario.

Suddenly, an idea dawned upon him.

"Dislocation."

He got up from his spot and jerked his shoulder as hard as he could. He had never done this before in this body, so it was bound to hurt. Plus, he couldn't afford to cause fractures, because that would be too much for his body and he might go unconscious, which was the alternative worst-case scenario.

A 'pop' sound was released, and it started to hurt like hell. His body was strong but his senses were way too sensitive for his own good.

But this pain had successfully suppressed his frustrations completely. He was voluntarily focusing on it with all of his attention, which proved his experiment to be successful.

He walked towards the door while clutching his arm and left his room, making his way towards Lucius. Today, he was not going to slack off. He had almost killed someone of very high standing in his profession, so his lethargy would only lead to something worse. System space was another option, but he couldn't rely on his mind right now.

"3 days. I have to keep this pain going for three days. System will help me handle this problem once the update is finished."

Lucius, who was on his way to his room, saw Alex and immediately frowned. His face was red, his shoulder was bulging due to extreme swelling, and he was smiling.

He hurried his steps towards Lucius, and said,

"Don't let the pain subside. Use an opioid blocker NOW!"

Lucius was even more confused. Is this kid insane?

"Trust me on this one, master. It's a matter of life and death."

Alex was looking at Lucius with some hope. He was the only person who was around, so he didn't have any choice.

Hearing those words, Lucius immediately picked Alex up and rushed towards his own room. If it was this important, there was no time to waste.

Xinjiang Province, China.

In a place filled with scenic sights, one rarely expects a hideout of the world-famous Triads to make an appearance. However, contrary to expectations, Triads have been thriving in this region. Under the supervision of a Zhao Family defect, an organization that deals with everything other than Assassination works in shadows. The information networks of this particular version of the infamous triads had scared many international governments and the leader had once taken his men and wiped out an entire terrorist organization that had tried to set up a base in their area.

"Nice of him to actually contact me. Look like the kid isn't as perfect as I thought."

On his way through, he received another message just hours after Lucius had asked him to come to America.

"Feeling awfully talkative all of a sudden after not contacting me for 8 years. That's Charles for you."

He checked his phone. After reading the message from Lucius, a sinister grin appeared on his face.

"Perfect or not, he sure has some balls. Let's see what this kid will give me."

Wei Peng, the man who came back from the dead, was intrigued.
