Speed.

An hour passed. Lei, Mei, and Jin were seated around Alex, observing him closely.

He opened his eyes, only to find around 100 pairs of eyes staring at him.

"Guys, I was just meditating."

He stood up and wiped the dirt off his pants. Everyone else followed suit.

"Have you recovered?"

Lei asked that, but he already knew the answer. He was astounded by how fast his hands had healed.

"Back to 100 percent."

He stretched his limbs.

"Great. So we can begin the next test."

He looked at one of the fighters present and said,

"Bring me a chalk."

The student nodded and left. He returned with a chalk in his hands and gave it to Lei.

He drew a perfectly shaped circle on the ground. It was 6 meters in diameter.

"You have to dodge all of my punches while staying inside the circle..."

He crushed the chalk in his hand.

"...for one minute. I can only use my fists, and I will rely on speed, not technique. It will be simple punches, and you have to outspeed me."

Alex frowned.

'System, can you do me a favor?'

'Ask away.'

'Can you predict his movements based on the data?'

'I can try. But you would have to dodge a few punches.'

'How many?'

'I'll start giving you directions when I have enough data.'

"Shall we begin?"

"Sure."

Alex took off his Changshan and stepped inside the circle.

"I'll stand here."

Lei took his position.

"You can take any position you want. But remember, if I get a solid hit, or if you step outside the ring, you lose."

Alex positioned himself some distance away from him, but he didn't go too far.

"Jin, give us a signal."

Jin raised his hand.

"Begin."

He lowered his hand towards the ground.

Lei reached Alex in a split second. His eyes were barely able to follow him, and he didn't hesitate to move away.

It was an uppercut, and it grazed by his face. It wasn't a solid hit, so it didn't count.

He wanted to speak with the system, but he did not have time to think.

Next, a jab towards his face. This punch was faster.

Alex was still mid-air. The punch approached his face as he put his feet to the ground. Using his momentum, he pushed himself towards the right with the help of his leg.

Around 10 seconds had passed. Alex was standing at the edge of the circle.

Fortunately, he got some time to breathe. His last dodge had created some distance between them.

'System!'

'I am working on it! One more hit!'

The data on him was at 70 percent.

'Damn it!'

If he wasn't nervous before, he was nervous now.

Lei turned around and went in for the last hit.

Alex was paralyzed on the spot. He didn't know what to do next.

Lei's punch approached his stomach, and it was evident that he would lose.

"System override. Skill used, a fatal flaw."

The punch slowed down. Alex dragged his body outside the range of the attack.

His feet stopped just at the edge of the circle. Alex jumped back and created a lot of distance between them.

'You can do that?'

'Only in emergencies. That punch would have killed you.'

Alex didn't have time to be shocked.

'Did you get enough data?'

'Affirmative. I'll start giving you instructions accordingly.'

Lei was about to attack him, but Alex had the system.

He dodged the next attack easily. The system had pre-planned his movement based on the data.

'Left.'

He moved to the left. Lei's attack missed.

'Move forward and jerk your head sideways.'

A ferociously strong attack. Alex couldn't even follow him.

But he did what the system told him and managed to dodge the attack. Even Lei was surprised by his bravery.

'Take a step back.'

Dodged the next jab.

'Move sideways.'

Another dodge.

Alex was mentally exhausted, but he kept going. He had made it this far. There was no way he was giving up now.

Lei took a deep breath in and rushed towards Alex at his maximum speed. Even with the output from the system, his reflexes weren't fast enough. Dust flew up, and Jin shouted,

"Time is up!"

His punch was on its way to hit Alex, but he controlled his arm and halted on the spot.

Alex was sweating like crazy. That was really bad for his heart.

"You managed to dodge my basic attacks."

He walked towards Alex and patted his shoulder. The smile on his face sent a shiver down his spine.

"Well done."

Everyone except for Jin was dumbfounded.

The Head actually praised the boy!

Alex stared at Lei. It was like everything that had happened before was a dream.

"Next, we move on to technique."

Alex fell to his knees. He was mentally exhausted.

"You get two more hours of recovery."

Lei looked at his condition and said.
