Mission complete.

"We are here."

A few hours from the skyscraper, Alex and Luo Tian were in front of a warehouse. The Rolls Royce ghost entered through the gate and stopped at the entrance.

They both got out, and Luo used his hands to signal the guards to open the entrance.

"How long have you been operating at this place?"

Alex asked.

"Around 2-3 months. We keep on changing the location to evade capture."

As they entered the warehouse, Alex was greeted by a hall filled with huge stacks of plastic boxes.

While Alex was inspecting his surroundings, Luo said,

"Mr. Alex. This way."

Alex looked back at him and agreed. They both walked towards a door, and the guards opened it for them.

"Warning! Hostile force detected!"

That message ran through his mind at a lightning-fast speed, and he was compelled to move away.

"What do you think of its power?"

Alex looked back ahead, only to find that one of the guards was holding the gun. He couldn't have afforded to be a millisecond late.

The shockwave had managed to injure his arm. Several cuts formed over his suit, which was stained by blood.

"So I guess that is a no on the deal?"

Alex snapped his fingers. The clothes disappeared, and a bodysuit appeared in its place.

Luo was shocked at this.

"How did you do that?"

"You have deception, I have magic."

Alex smiled.

"Quick, kill him!"

The guard holding the gun pointed it towards Alex, but he disappeared.

He reappeared behind Luo Tian and grabbed his neck.

"Ask him to drop the weapon."

He threatened the man.

Luo looked at his guard and said,

"Shoot me if you have to!"

Alex was surprised. This guy wasn't afraid of death.

The guard did what he said, and he was forced to leave Luo and move aside. He pushed Luo before dodging, meaning that Luo was still alive.

He changed his goal and moved towards the guard with the gun. 5 of the guards tried to get in his way to stop him, but he swiftly evaded all of them while putting a bullet in each of their heads.

Unfortunately, this had given the guard enough time to load a different setting.

"Area burst."

Aiming the gun towards the ground, shockwaves spread out towards everyone in the room.

Alex was about to dodge, but one of the guards used his arms to catch his leg and pin him on the ground. His grip was solid.

He twisted his leg and kicked the guard in his face. Using the face as a footing, he managed to dodge the attack on time once again. The shockwave passed through the guard and cut him from the middle.

Alex made his way towards the guard, and he dropped the weapon to take him on.

He sent a strong punch towards the bulky guard. He aimed to take him out in one punch.

The guard remained expressionless and raised his hand to intercept the attack. He was fast enough to do so, which surprised Alex. Anyways, Alex continued with his punch, ready to break the guard's bone.

The guard gritted his teeth and clenched his muscles. When the punch made contact, the guard used his muscles to block the attack and held on. He maintained his stoic expression.

"Freak."

Alex landed on the ground and looked at his fist.

The guard sent out an attack of his own.

'Time to get serious.'

When the punch arrived, Alex took the Drunken Monkey stance. He used a faint step to dodge the punch and succeeded in confusing the guard. The guard was down, and it was time for an all-out bashing.

He sent a punch towards his stomach. The 6 pack on the guard was not able to withstand the attack. He ended up spitting out some of his blood while stumbling backward.

Another jab towards his stomach. This time, Alex was aiming for a barrage of punches, and he succeeded in doing so. Consecutive punches and the pain started to take their toll, and the guard was feeling light-headed. He was in no state to defend or attack. Time for the final blow.

He leaped into the air while twisting his body, and sent a reverse roundhouse kick towards his head. The crack sound was loud and clear. The guard was dead.

He turned around to look for Luo, but he had disappeared. The weapon was still in sight, but the culprit was gone.

"Wait a minute..."

Alex could feel faint vibrations below his feet.

Luo Tian pressed a button on a machine and said,

"Die!"

A massive shockwave spread throughout the facility. Luo exploded in an instant while Alex could feel his skin and organs contort due to the pressure.

"Warning! Warning! Warning!"

The system kept repeating those words. As soon as the shockwave ended, Alex collapsed to the ground. Still conscious, he barely placed his hand on the weapon and absorbed it into the system space.

"Massive damage to the body. Expected time for recovery, 7 days."

He closed his eyes and let the darkness take over.
