Aim, and Shoot.

"Gunplay."

Alex was back at the training grounds. Target Practice was in session.

"Master, the kid is here."

One of the assassins looked at him and said.

Maxim Smirnov turned around. He looked at Alex, and then looked at his watch.

"Right on time."

The boy was disciplined.

He looked back at his subordinates and said,

"Everyone, today's session ends now. Pack up."

They all nodded, and started stashing everything back into large briefcases. Guns, Ammunitions, Targets, and all the stuff necessary for the training.

Alex walked towards Maxim. When he reached the Smirnov family head, the training grounds had been cleaned up.

"Sir."

He slowly bowed towards him.

"Raise your head."

Maxim was impressed. He couldn't sense any ego.

"How has your stay been? Have you faced any issues?"

Alex raised his head and said,

"No sir. It has been good."

Maxim placed his hand on his shoulder and said,

"Keep working hard."

A small gesture of acknowledgment. Among his comrades and family, he was only feared nowadays. Respect and Sincerity was hard to come by, because of the strict regulations when it came to the family principles.

Alex took it sincerely, and looked at the suitcases filled with guns.

"Sir, do I have your permission to train with them?"

Maxim raised an eyebrow.

"You want to train with our equipment? Have you used military grade weapons before?"

He asked that question out of genuine worry.

"I haven't. But I still wish to train with them."

It had been a long time since he had handled a high power weapon. He wanted to test his control with them now.

Maxim patted his shoulder twice.

"Go ahead. I will leave one of my men with you. He will take you to a different training ground to avoid any accidents."

He looked at one of the assassins from the group and said,

"You. Take him to the N1 area. Help him set up a proper target range, and keep and eye on him."

The man stepped forward. He gave Maxim a salute, and Maxim simply nodded.

"Thank you, Sir."

He took his hand away from his shoulder.

"Don't injure yourself."

After saying that, he left with the assassin group. The man that had stayed behind grabbed two of the suitcases and said,

"Follow me."

Alex sensed a slight tinge of hostility in his voice.

They both started walking towards the designated area.

"Why was the family head taking your practice personally?"

The man didn't answer. Alex raised his voice in response to the silence.

"Hello?"

"Shut up, and follow me."

Alex stopped walking.

"Answer my question. Only then will I move from here."

He had been bullied a lot by Aglaya over the past few days. He to let off some steam.

"You-"

Alex sat down on the ground.

"Speak."

He was acting like a kid for the first time.

The big, brawny man mumbled a few words under his breath. Alex was pretty sure they were curses.

"I promise that I will not pester you further if you answer my question."

He said with a wide grin.

The man looked at his face.

"That was the Alpha group. The strongest assassins of the family train directly under master. He only gets a few days off every month, so we all have to give it our all when he trains us. Now, follow me!"

Alex got up, but didn't start walking. The man looked behind.

"What happened?"

"I have one more question."

He wanted to snap the kid like a twig. But he couldn't.

"What is it now?"

Alex smiled.

"Is this a punishment?"

The man didn't respond. He just keep staring at the brat in front of him.

Alex could see it in his eyes.

"So it is a punishment."

He started walking. The alpha assassin started walking as well. He was in no mood to talk to him any further.

------------------------------------------------

After about 20 minutes, the targets had been set up. The assassin opened up the last suitcase and placed it in front of Alex.

"Pick one."

3 Guns.

Aek-999. A heavy machine gun. 7.62mm Caliber.

Ak-9. An Assault Rifle. Ammunition Type, 9 mm caliber.

Beretta ARX160. Assault rifle. Ammunition Type, 7.62mm caliber.

Alex picked up the AK-9. He had used this weapon in his previous world.

"Light."

He looked through the scope attached to it. It had a suppressor attached to it.

The assassin took out noise cancelling headphones from the suitcase, and placed it on his ears.

"Careful with that."

Alex smiled.

Between 10-100 meters. 20 different targets.

"Won't they get destroyed?"

"Don't worry about that. Focus on your aim."

The ammo was loaded.

"Aim."

The closest 10 meter target was in sight.

'Shoot.'

"Bang!"

A lower recoil than he expected.

He looked at the target. Headshot.

"You can move back now."

He looked back at the assassin and said.

"As you wish."

The assassin moved back. The grin on his face grew wider.

"Rapid fire round."

10 meter target, headshot.

30 meter target, headshot.

20 meter target, headshot.

50 meter target, miss.

40 meter target, headshot.

70 meter target, a hit to the chest.

His body was constantly moving. He was enjoying every part of this.

"Boom."

80 meter target, headshot.

He got lucky. Trajectory change.

70 meter target, grazed the skull.

The assassin started meditating.

'Nothing special. Young master was miles above him at his age.'

Strike.

100 meter target, shoulder hit.

'System, can we have this inside the System Space?'

"Yes."

'The most therapeutic thing I have done since coming to this world.'

90 meter target, headshot.

70 meter target, headshot.

10 meter target, headshot.

20 meter target, headshot.

30 meter target, headshot.

40 meter target, headshot.

And the barrage continued. He was nailing all of his shots. After getting accustomed to the weapon, it became very easy.

All the targets were done, except the one furthest away from his location.

"Easy."

He shot the last bullet. A strong jerk to his hand, which was nullified by his own strength. The bullet left the barrel, and travelled in a linear path. Within a second it was at its target. The white Kevlar Titanium target jerked a little bit, and absorbed the impact of the bullet.

100 meter target, headshot.

"Done."

He placed the gun back into the bag. He was going to test the Beretta next.

"Aim."

Focus.

"Shoot!"

Bang!
