Third Person's POV:
The next morning rolled in and the house was as deserted as last two nights, with only one occupant, Alaina.
Her uncle will still not be home for a few days. The duration of his stay is unidentified even to himself. Before leaving he made an effort to delay his flight so he could see Alaina before leaving as she was still at her classes. She wasn't thrilled to know that she'll have to stay in the house all by herself for who knows how long. It could take him a few days or even weeks depending on how quicker can he be done with his business.
After the incident ten years ago, growing up Alaina has unknowingly and unwillingly developed a condition where she can not live alone in a house without feeling anxious and anxiety settling in. Before, she would run out to stay at one of her friend's house whenever her maternal aunt, whom she used to live with, finally arrived back from her business out of town.
