Loot Crate

After a few minutes of rest we hear the thumping footsteps of Wug approaching us before he places Ogis's still sleeping form down beside myself and waits until I open my eyes. After a couple more minutes of relaxing I finally take a deep breathe before getting back to my feet and walking over to the ogre before smacking him on the leg and glaring at his sheepish smile.

"Dumbass! You know we're in a dangerous area so you have to be more careful! lucky for you I managed to kill that monster or else you'd either be dead or a slave! Don't worry me like that again dude!" I yell at him as he nods sheepishly before walking towards Tugta and talking with her in a low voice.

As the couple discusses whatever I motion for Slab to follow me into the vine hut that the Blight came out of, cringing as we enter at the smell of copper emanating from the entire room. As I look around the large space I realize that the inside is larger than the outside by an entire two rooms, each of the on opposite sides of the main entry. Small lanterns made from bone and flesh hang from the ceiling as blue flames float inside the disgusting creations, various piles of rotted flesh organized haphazardly around the room as we move slowly through the filth. Towards the back of the room I notice a small bag and open it before seeing multiple types of seeds inside of it. Without a second thought I place the bag in my pack and we start to move towards the door on the left side of the room, watching as spiked thorns constantly move and slither around the thick vine door before it slowly opens as we approach. Inside the room is a set of cages with various piles of bones or corpses inside. As we check a few of the cages I hear Slab call my name and I rush over to see what he's found.

"Looks like we have a live one Boss. Some type of insect with shrooms growing off of it. Seems pretty docile but it's not a beast considering I don't have an option to tame it. Looks pretty weak too, pretty sure these cages are eating whatever is thrown inside and the energy or whatever was being sent to the boss we killed but that's just a guess." Slab says as he slams a small rock cudgel against the cage bars as a snapping is heard and he gently pulls the creature out of it. After inspecting the creature I quickly tell Slab to go get Mog immediately and bring him here and that it's an emergency. As Slab sprints out of the building I glance at the barely breathing creature before gently patting its side in the hopes to keep it calm.

(Shroom Spider Level 3{Critically Injured})

Shroom Spiders are rare creatures found in moist environments and created from the corpses of giant spiders that have died nearby. Shroom Spiders are made when a mutated spore takes root inside of a newly killed or deceased spider. As the spore grows it begins to mutate the original body until it is a complete fungal creature. Once the transformation is complete these creatures then become peaceful cleaners of the ecosystem around them where they scavenge off leftover kills of other creatures.

"Don't worry little guy we have our own mushroom man and he's a healer so he can fix you up easy, we just need you to hang in there." I whisper before I hear crashing coming from outside and the yell of Mog before Slab finally sprints back into the room and crashes through the door with Mog in tow.

As I listen to the two argue for a few seconds I finally clear my throat and motion for Mog to take a look at the Spider lying on the ground.

"Poor creature, Your still a baby too if I'm not wrong. Barely the size of a wolf, of course you wouldn't be able to fight back against that thing I saw out there. No worries I can heal you up little one and then we'll happily take you with us since your on your own out here." Mog says gently as he places his hands on the spiders side and begins casting his healing spells before finishing with his regrowth spell. As the spider heals up it finally opens its three sets of eyes and looks at the myconid beside it, his glowing hands slowly closing the wounds around the creature body before he finally finishes and dusts himself off.

As the shroom spider stands up I can finally see it in all its glory and can't help but smile at how cute it is. Its eyes shine with intelligence as a shimmer of forest green fades in and out of them while its body is pale white with large mushroom colonies growing on its back. It has small rounded pincers at its mouth that are covered in a dense fur as a single horn pokes out form its forehead, barely visible. As it looks around the room it lets out a squeak of happiness before it quickly begins running around us and then leaps onto the wall and runs up and down that as well before landing in front of Mog and nudging his hand with its head.

"Master, the Shroom Spider just offered to join my colony....What do you want me to do?" Mog asks with a shudder in his voice, the spider happily watching Mog for his answer as I notice a look of want and excitement on my friends face. After making a few thinking sounds to mess with the usually serious myconid I finally smile and nod for him that its fine before walking out of the room and towards the last remaining room of the building.

After we make our way to the last door I notice that this one is made of a heavy metal with various runes engraved into it. After we try to open it for several minutes I finally slam the butt of my sword against the door and grunt in frustration before pulling out the Blight's head from my bag and touching the door with it. After a second the runes light up and the door slowly fades out of view to show a small room filled with several chests as well as a pile of coins, gems, and pieces of jewelry in the center.

"Can't believe that actually worked. Touch screen door, maybe this world might be able to figure out cellphones soon too." I joke under my breath before i put the head away and start scooping the pile into my bag as Slab opens the chests carefully before telling me I'll want to see this. As I look into the chests my eyes widen in surprise as I see various weapons, each of the glowing with enchantment as well as pieces of armor for several species. The last chest holds something even cooler as I inspect the item and smile in happiness before emptying them all into my bag saving the best for last.

(Ancient Golem Level 1{Decommissioned})

A golem made in ancient times. This one is to damaged to be able to take on a task but with a proper engineer and smith it could one day be brought back to quasi life.

After loading the golem into the bag we finally make our way out of the building and walk towards our group before we notice the other creature is standing with them silently staring at our approaching forms.
