Soul Space
"Ugh....fucking escargot kicked my ass." I mumble as I squeeze my eyes tighter shut and listen to the camp before I notice familiar sounds.
I roll onto my side while my eyes remain closed as I listen intently, the sounds of thunder ring in the distance. I can smell the familiar scent of extra spicy seafood ramen nearby. Under the thunder I can make out the whirring of my desktops fans, the dripping of water from my tiny bathroom. Screaming from downstairs comes through the floor followed by crying and the thud of flesh on flesh before a door slams and a woman's crying is heard.
"So it was all a dream, figures I guess. I mean what the hell was I even thinking, Reviving in a new world, hah." I mutter sarcastically as I finally sit up in my bed and open my eyes. I glance around at the familiar one room efficiency, the plaster on the walls peeling while a dark brown stain is in the corner of the ceiling above me. At the end of my bed sits my desktop setup and streaming gear, all put on top of a set of milk crates turned upside down with a dingy piece of plywood as the tabletop. Swinging my legs over the side of my mattress I glance at the dirty hotplate with leftover instant ramen congealing within it, next to that sits a small wardrobe with my three other outfits that I swap out every few days.
As I stand up I stop before realizing I'm a little shorter than I remember, also my feet are really warm. Looking down I begin trembling at the site of my small stubby feet, hairless and resembling a mix between a humans and a bears. Short brown fur starts from my ankle and begins coating my entire legs up to my stomach, the bald stomach and chest covered in dingy leather armor. Before I can start freaking out I notice Dawn flitting around in the bathroom , poking at the faucet and showerhead while also attempting to taste the shampoo before she gags and lets out a cute shriek.

This area is based off of your most familiar surroundings and as you gain experience it will enlarge as well as morph to your wishes! Currently you only have two area's opened to you-The Soul Wardens Rest and the Soul Subjugation Room. Concentrating on either room will bring you to it and also give you a brief summary of its uses!}
"Master!!!! What is this wondrous place?! There's free and fresh water coming out of a metal thing, and there are all these strange fruit and flower smelling jellies but they taste horrendous!" Dawn says excitedly before I finally calm her down and explain what my last memories were and what this place is.
"Another world? You were a human once? And you woke up as you and here we are?....WOW thats so COOL! Does that mean your like a Super Boss or something!? Can we go back! I wanna see your fancy old world! Please? Please please pleaseeeee!?!?!" Dawn begs excitedly before I explain to her that I have no clue if that's possible and watch her deflate a little.
"Buuut I just found out we can go to two places here we can visit so lets check out the subjugation room first!" I say excitedly as I watch her perk up a little and nod before we appear in a small room that have two old style doors made of a black stone in front of me. As I step forward and push the doors open I take a step back and reach for my sword or warclub before realizing I don't have any weapons.
In front of me stands a disturbingly realistic Jade Statue of the Psi Ape that I absorbed the soul of, its body locked in a pose where it hangs upside down from a branch, filth hanging from its emaciated form as an empty look fills its sunken eyes. After realizing its a statue I chuckle to myself before walking forward and inspecting the statue.
{The Soul Subjugation Room is a museum of all the enemies that the Soul Reader has absorbed the skills from. Each new entry will result in a statue of the creature, that creatures name, a letter ranking based off how powerful the enemy was, as well as which abilities were stolen from the enemy. Rankings go from the lowest rank F to the highest X. More usages of the statues will be unlocked upon evolution of the Soul Reader.}
After reading the prompt I look at the statue once more before nodding happily. Hopefully the next creature that's added to this place is a little more impressive but it's still kind of neat to collect these things but since there's nothing I can really do with them now I concentrate on the Wardens Rest area and appear in front of a small brick house, smoke rising from the chimney. The scent of wildflowers surrounds me as I here banging coming from behind the house, a small paved path circling around the house. Curiously I walk on the path and reach the building, laying my hand against the brick I feel warmth from the smooth surface. After pausing for a second I finally make my way to the back of the house and gasp in shock.
"Yo Noor! Welcome to my home I guess? It's pretty cool here actually but how about we head inside and talk?" says Wake with a smile as he stands in front of me with his arms crossed, leaning on the back wall.
