chapter three - bathroom

The girl felt empty. Well, she knew that at that moment, she fucked up. Her best friend dragged her out of the scene and toward the girl's bathroom, despite the longing stares that were on them as they left. Alex watched as Gaby went inside a cubicle, though she did not close the door.

Gaby ruffled her hair as she broke down in the bathroom. Beside her stood Alex, who quietly watched her. "What the fuck is wrong with me that was so embarrassing. By now the whole school will know about this and I'll never get to eat the 'back to school limited edition' pizza anymore. What am I going to do!"

Eyebrows titled upwards, head cocked to one side, Alex asked, "Wait what? I thought you'd worry about the-"

Before Alex finished his sentence, Gaby already knew what he was talking about. "Yeah yeah I know I know that's what people might think about but you know what, even though that first impression was kinda shitty, who said I'm gonna give up. Just a lil shocked, that's all. No big deal."

Gaby was not the type to give up easily. Whatever she wanted, she would work hard for it. Despite her attitude to others and the impressions she gives to others, many admired her persistence. Honestly that was the only thing they liked her for.

"Dude you got me right there. Well, then good. Wanna just skip the whole assembly together?"

"If you asked," she winked, cockily smiling at her childhood best friend. And they stayed in the bathroom for the rest of the first period.

Honestly that was her first time she ever 'made a move'. She only jokingly flirted with Alex a few times, but never was it because she was attracted to him. There was something in Vanessa that just pulled Gaby in. Something that reminded her of something. But she did not recognise it. Only was it when Gaby looked at Vanessa's glossy, sparkling eyes that made her feel that connection.

'Fate?' Maybe not. Any chances left? We'll see.

The duo then walked out of the bathroom, laughing their asses off over a joke that Gaby made. Yeah she probably still was a little bummed, but nothing other than having the best best friend in the world laughing at jokes with you, could make you feel better at times like these.

The rest of the day was just orientation, briefings and a slight scolding from their homeroom teachers for skipping assembly. After that, they went over to a cafe, or more likely a playground park and sat down to have more small talks.

hello again loves <3. i really hoped you enjoyed this chapter. honestly it is pretty short because i'm going slow. in this chapter i really didn't want it to sound so serious as i did in my previous drafts. yes she still felt a little embarrassed, having everyone staring at her when she got shouted at by van. but, this book still has more to come and im very excited to publish more chapters ahead.

i have scheduled myself to publish a few more chapters at a go, so you wont get too bored waiting, so i hope you are excited! thank you for reading!!
