Ch-4: New Teammates

Kamar-Taj, Nepal.

Tobi opened the portal and looked at his mentor, who was waiting for his arrival. He greeted the Ancient One and said, "Good morning, Teacher. Where are my teammates?" She nodded in response and answered, "They're waiting for you in the New-York Sanctum. So, You know that you are going to be the team leader? That is a very responsible job." She asked.

Tobi nodded and answered, "I know it, and besides, I am excellent at taking responsibilities." He joked and looked at his teacher's dark face and quickly apologized. He coughed and changed the topic, "*cough* So what are they like?"

They both started walking towards the Rotunda of Gateways and entered the New York Sanctum. Master Hamir was sitting there while reading books on Advanced Mystic Arts. He noticed the arrival of the duo and greeted them with a bow.

Ancient One nodded and asked Tobi to enter the meeting room. He smiled and opened the door. He looked at his future teammates who were sitting in their seats. He could sense that they were pretty nervous. He looked at the Japanese man who was sitting in front of the Italian woman.

He knocked on the door, getting their attention, and said, "*knock* Can I enter?" He said with the same kind of smile that he gives to his employees, making them work properly without punishment.

Both of them looked at their future team leader. His smile was something that they cannot reject. They stiffly nodded. Tobi smiled, which was a lot normal than before, and took his seat in the center of the table.

Seeing both of them so stiff and formal, Tobi frowned but quickly hid it from them and said, "Hello! Why don't you guys relax and Introduce yourselves." He saw them slightly getting relaxed and nodded in appreciation. His female teammate asked, "How do we introduce ourselves?"

Tobi smiled and replied, "Why don't you guys tell me your Name, Hobbies, Likes, and dislikes along with your dreams?" He looked at the female teammate, who nodded and went first. She looked at both of them and introduced herself.

"*ahem* My name is Aqua. My hobby is to swim and talk with fishes. I like it when someone respects me and treats me equally, and I hate people who say that women are not equal to men. My dream is to become someone who everyone looks at with respect." Aqua introduced herself and looked at their male teammate.

The male nodded and introduced himself, "My name is Motoshi Oda, and I am the direct descendant of Nobunaga Oda. My hobbies are sword-fight and camping. I like to eat and sleep. I'm not too fond of it when people call me fat. My dream is to become the best Agna user and surpass my ancestors." He smiled and said.

Tobi smiled at their introduction and nodded.

Seeing that he was the center of the attention, He introduced himself with a polite smile, "My name is Tobias Remington, and I am your team leader. My hobbies are enchanting and studying runes. I like it when people are punctual, and I don't particularly appreciate it when people do not appreciate what they have instead of what they want." Both of them nodded at their leader's introduction.

Aqua blinked at the last part and said, "That was quite deep." Motoshi nodded in agreement. Tobi smiled and said, "Why don't we eat something while we chat with each other?"

Motoshi grinned and said, "I know a delicious Shawarma restaurant nearby. It is only a few streets away from our current location." Tobi looked at Aqua, who just nodded and said, "It's decided. We will be eating some Shawarma."

The trio walked out from the New York Sanctum and moved towards the famous Shawarma restaurant. Tobi would have to admit that they are getting along pretty quickly. Maybe all of them knew that they are going to work together.

Three of them looked at the sitting figure of Ancient One, who was sorting through some documents. Tobi came forward and asked, "Ancient One, We want your permission to use training grounds." She moved her attention towards the trio and nodded.

"Then, we will leave." Tobi respectfully said and gestured his teammates to leave. Both of them looked as they wanted to ask more but still followed his orders.

Leaving the room, Motoshi spoke, "Damn! She was scary." Aqua nodded in agreement. Tobi looked at them with amusement and said, "Although, It would be a bit hypocritical for me to say it. But she is an OP character. Let me tell you a secret about her. She can One-Shot any person in the universe with one of her techniques." Tobi remembered when he first started training. She defeated him with one move, and she wasn't even taking him seriously.

Tobi shook his head and changed the topic, "*ahem* Now that we got access to training grounds, Why don't we assess each other's abilities." His teammates nodded. He continued, "After I assess your abilities and your limits, I will create a specific training regime for you. Also, I will give you the necessary information about the supernatural world."

Aqua raised her hand and asked, "Where are we going to fight? My moves are quite destructive; we shouldn't gain the attention of the government." Tobi smirked and replied, "That's a surprise for you guys." Aqua did not ask any further and curiously followed him.

After a minute of a walk, They arrived in front of the training ground. The ground was empty, and there was no-one practicing or training. Motoshi glanced at the training ground and turned to look at Tobi and asked, "Isn't there supposed to be a crowd of people training here? Why is the entire venue empty?" Tobi's smirk widened.

Tobi looked at the training ground and then at his teammates and said, "Now I am going to introduce some of the basic rules of sorcerers." His hands moved in a particular pattern, and he continued, "Rule number one: Every fight and practice should be performed in the mirror dimension. This is to keep any unsuspecting civilians from harm." He pushed his right-palm towards the empty air, and suddenly cracks started to form in front of him.

The entire sky cracked like a mirror, and after a few seconds, it returned to normal. Both Aqua and Motoshi were amazed at the power of their leader. But seeing that there was no explosion or something and everything looked normal, Motoshi asked, "What did you do? Where are the cracks?" Tobi gestured for them to turn around.

Both of them turned and looked at the previous empty training ground. The look of pure shock on them was a pretty amusing sight for Tobi. Suddenly the training ground was full of people practicing and training with their magic.

Aqua turned and shuttered, "But, how? How is this possible?" Tobi replied with a smirk on his face, "One of the perks of being a sorcerer." He liked to see their faces when he shatters their world-view.

Tobi looked at their face and chuckled. He answered, "This is what we call the mirror-dimension." Seeing their confusion, he elaborated, "Both of you are now inside the mirror dimension, ever-present but undetected. The real world isn't affected by what happens here."

Both of them quickly caught with the explanation. Seeing them understand what he was saying, Tobi continued, "We use the mirror dimension to train, surveil and sometimes even contain threats."

Motoshi raised his hands and asked, "So, how can we enter it?" Tobi nodded and answered, "I will be training you regarding basic sorcerer academics after I finish assessing you guys. Also, Don't raise your hands if you want to ask questions. You guys are not in high school." Motoshi embarrassingly nodded.

"Follow me to training ground 7." Both of them followed him towards their designated training ground. They arrived in an empty plot in the mountains and stood in the middle. Tobi looked at them and said, "Now, I will start with some basics."

"We will introduce our powers and skills to each other. So that we can have good team dynamics." Tobi looked at Aqua and asked her to go first with her primary powers.

Aqua moved forward and said, "I have power over water. Although I could use some basic elemental moves of other tattvas, My primary focus and advantage are water type attacks." Tobi nodded and asked, "We will discuss it in more in detail about it later. What about you, Motoshi?"

The person in the question nodded and said, "I can manipulate fire with my Agna. Also, I could use other elements with ease, but my affinity is with fire. As long as I have mana, I can manipulate fire." Motoshi politely answered and asked, "What about you, leader?"

Tobi answered, "Call me, Captain instead of Leader." He continued, "I am the wielder of Ajula and Adera, granting me the power of Yang and Yin, respectively. I can use various elements with ease, but I specialize in Healing and assault." He did not say anything about the Sharingan and gave his necessary information to his teammates.

Seeing that they have introduced their powers, Tobi came forward and said, "Now that we know each other's strength and weakness, I want you to team-up against me." With a flick of his fingers, A alarm clock appeared, and he set the timer.

Tobi looked at them and said, "You have three hours to attack me and make me weaken." Both of them got in their stance.

Aqua's white hair turned light-blue because she was using her Alma Eterna, Paani. Water droplets started to form around her.

Motoshi's hair also turned dark-orange, and a fire started to emit from his hands. He was using Agna to get in his first form. The temperature rose to a very high degree.

Tobi looked at them and smirked. He announced with his one hand on the alarm clock. "Your time starts now!" He exclaimed.
