The Trusted Trump Card

The room was dark and silent, everything seemed to have turned upside down and loose threads of thoughts appeared in his mind. He tried to open his eyes but they seemed glued to his face and the searing pain in his neck didn't help either.

'I'm I dead?' he wondered and felt around but his hands couldn't move a bit. He came to a conclusion, 'I still feel pain so it means I'm still alive.'

Bryan struggled to get himself free but couldn't and his body seemed heavy for some reason, after a while a cold sensation ran down his body drenching him completely.

The blindfold was removed and his vision became clearer. He was in some kind of abandoned warehouse and the room he was in had large cartons placed all over but he couldn't decipher the contents of the boxes. In front of him were two men with mean looks and they glowered at him.

Bryan struggled to adjust his eyes to the new environment, "you didn't have to pour the water on me, I was already awake."
