Synopsis

With the wake of a serial killer that seems untraceable, Bryan Derrick—a detective with a high success rate—is sent to help out in the case but things quickly spiral as he is entangled in many life threatening events as he tries to uncover the secret of the 'smiling psychopath'.

He soon discovers a plot in this new city and discovers that it is made by his arch enemy. he soon realises that his past has followed him to this new city.

 He makes new friends and helps then solve their problems by investigating for them and also goes on a journey to accept his dark past but one thing eludes him: the mystery of the serial killer!

Saviour Ibok is a Nigerian writer of science fiction and fantasy. He has written many titles including Haklaran Hunter trilogy, Elixir of Love and The Last Soldiers.

The Tenth Victim

"No, wrong again." She smiled and threw her long hair back a bit and posed another question, "what's my favourite colour?"

He thought for a bit and revealed a grin. "Blue."

"You actually didn't say pink? You're correct, it's blue." She was amused that he hadn't gone with the stereotype that all girls liked pink stuff, she always felt annoyed whenever someone compared her to a 'pink' rose.

"Your blush and lip glosses are almost always blue." He said without further explanation, "next question."

"Okay," she hesitated for a while before asking, "what's my favourite TV show?"

Bryan fell into a deep thought. What would someone of her nature like…commercials about big foot? Lost islands…she could be interested in pirate stories…No, she seems quite into fashion and runway shows, or maybe reality shows about romance…is there such a thing?
