A Twinless Night

"Cheers to happiness!" Rachael raised her glass of wine and clinked it with her husband's with a wide smile on her face. They were having dinner at home tonight and she had prepared several dishes that they both liked. It had been a long time since they had such a huge diner as a family.

Bruce returned her smile and also raised a toast, "to a quiet night without the twins." They drank the wine in one go and afterwards they giggled like children.

"But this seems so wrong, yet so right." Rachael said after a while. "It looks like we hate them but it's the opposite."

Bruce nodded and said, "They need this time off to get new experiences."

"Agreed, I can't live all day with them trying to burn down the house." They continued like that for a while.

"I feel so guilty," Rachael said all of a sudden. "We just sent our children away and here we are celebrating…"
