Suspicions

It was still cold in the morning after the little rain shower ended. Rose Street was still busy as usual as people walked and drove to their destinations. The Street was a beautiful one and it was the third biggest place in Haston city.

At the Mucker residence, however, everything was in a stand still. Fred paced around the room while knocking his fingers against each other nervously. He would glance at the sleeping Maria on the bed who had a peaceful face.

She was sleeping so soundly that she was even more alluring and would have erupted the feelings that Fred had struggled so hard to bottle up for so many years…if only today was a normal day.

After the fright she gave him just after their kiss, he had become tense. Maria was able to remember something from the past and worst of all it was something their father used to say. If she had remembered this as a memory fragment it would've been better but she remembered it clearly.
